I agree, but I also understand why they didn't. Peter was absurdly powerful. Not having to do anything to get someone's ability just getting it. They didn't want a hero being a demi-god. The only one they wanted having that much power was Syler so he would be a big enough boss to defeat...and then they decided to flip flop his allegiance between good and evil for the rest of the series.

funny how a power that would be completely useless in the real world (blocking other people's powers) is so crucial in the Heroes world. @@ronan7695 I know and that makes me feel bad for Rene like he really was only called upon when he was needed for his power. Though like it would seem like he had no problem doing it,it still sucks that was his only real use to everyone else. Though I guess at that point,that became a sense of purpose for him was using his power to help where he was needed hence why he didn't have an issue with it.You also have to admire his unwavering loyalty though,like he was always there whenever he was needed and never fell over to the other side

@@fatalxdecaay2817 One of the many problems with "superhero" worlds where most people have a unique power, and those powers are strong enough to eclipse even the most skilled non-powered people, is that people essentially become their powers. People don't care about them as people, for the most part, because their powers define them. The same thing happens in the real world if you have a lot of experience and are searching for jobs. If you've been a statistician all your life and you put that on your resume, hiring managers will expect you to want to be a statistician and will reject you for jobs that don't use your abilities. That can be because they think you'll leave, they'll think you won't be challenged, they'll be suspicious of you wanting a non-statistics-related job, etc. Sad, but it's the curse of the talented and (in the case of Heroes), the powerful.

There's a problem with that. Sylars power, Intuitive Understanding, allows him to use whatever power he gets at top form, as if he had an eternity to use and experience all of its applications, thus allowing him to use any power beyond what anyone else even knew was capable. This is demonstrated multiple times, but I will only give two examples to shorten this response: When he killed his first victim and obtained Telekinesis, he was thenceforth able to make fine, scalpel thin cuts using the pressure created from said telekinesis, as well as fine, precision movements using Telekinesis, unlike his victim, who was clumsy and hardly able to do much of anything with his power. Additionally, Claire knew little to nothing about her power, other than she regenerated from things, even flat out being dead at some point, but didn't know how far that went. Sylar simply answers her saying that she can never die, and he couldn't kill her even if he wanted to... And thenceforth, neither could he, in a way. As such, this fight, no matter who was there, it would be no contest. As demonstrated here, The haitian was out of time. He could not suppress Arthurs power anymore, and wasn't attempting to stress the power anymore. Sylar knew the part of the brain for regeneration to hit, and hit exactly that part with Arthur, killing him while also destroying the part of his brain that would activate his regeneration.(Which is likely different from claire's regeneration factor, as it was taken from a different person.)

There's a "spot" in the person's head where you can kill someone with the healing ability. In season 1, both Claire and Peter "died" temporarily by having something stuck in the back of their head. But once the object was removed, they regenerated back to life. Having said this, after taking Claire's power (season 3?) Sylar says: "You can never die, Claire. And now, I guess, neither can I." Honestly this rule is not consistent and is (in my opinion), another sign of the poor writing post season 1.

Idk how his father died, he stole peter’s abilities and of those is healing so how did he die?

Still don't get how Sylar's power worked in the presence of the Haitian.

He was having to focus all on arthur because he had too many powers it was either sylar or arthur and arthur was the bigger threat

If this show tries to be realistic, it doesn't succeed. I have watched this show a couple of times, and couldn't stand Seasons 3 and 4, but whenever someone has a power, it means a deficiency elsewhere. For example, if someone had the ability to possess people, the cost is losing a part of your own identity.

I do get why Arthur died. He stole all of Peters powers including his healing power he got from Claire, so why didn’t he just heal when the Haitian stopped using his. Edit: scratch that he got a healing ability first from Adam but still.

in the first season it shows that when someone with regen powers has an object embedded in a certain part of the brain (claire and pete) it stops there healing effectively keeping them dead till it is removed and syler knows more about the workings of the brain of powered people then anyone else in the show

If you're shot when Rene is blocking your healing power you're dead, look at Future Peter Claire shot him and he died.
@corym.m.30845 жыл бұрын
Tim bob Then Clair should of died when the eclipse was happening as opposed to her abilities coming back, all the Haitian does is nullify someone’s abilities and when he leaves they regain their abilities. It’s just lazy writing to kill of an op enemy.

@@corym.m.3084 I think Claire wasn't quite dead yet when the eclipse ended so her power kicked in just in time, look at how long Peter lasted when he had that Glass shard in his head blocking his healing. I think maybe Evos that can heal somehow have a better chance at survival.

This scene made no sense. Sylar has his powers but Arthur could not stop him? Why? The Haitian? Since when can't the Haitian hold someone? He's stopped a bunch of people at once before including super peter.

How did Sylar use his abilities if the Haitian was close?
@nandatou7 жыл бұрын
He had too use all his focus on Peter's father because he is so powerfull. If he stopped focusing on him he would have killed them all.

Also, since the Haitian walked away, shouldn't Arthur be regenerating, he got his power from Claire, who could come back to life

Dragon Cry the bullet must be in the weak spot that stops them from healing
@jamestheawsome1006 жыл бұрын
Dragon Cry the bullet destroyed the part of his brain that allows him to regenerate, therefore permanently killing him.

Peter should have got all his powers back, he is a good guy, and uses his powers for good..anyone who disagree, is evil.. thats it :)

If arthur can use peter power where mimic other power like electric hand when the first time arthur got peter power, then why arthur can't healing with claire healing power just like electric hand?
@Micheal93k4 жыл бұрын
Besides that he took Adams healing already.

Both Claire and Peter "died" when they had something stuck in their heads. Claire's was a stick I think, and Peter had glass stuck in and they would have stayed dead if those objects remained there. But also with the Haitian there his powers were temporarily gone either way

@alexforce94 жыл бұрын
Coz the Haitian blocks powers by purposly focus on the person. I think his ability is more like vail for powers, than its a switch. It covers them not turning them off.
