the fact that I found you makes me feel so blessed and genuinely happy. In the last week i watched all your ted talks, i am half way through the audiobook and keep watching your yt videos. The way you speak is amazing and In such a short time you shifted my thinking radically. You got yourself a fan for life.

Well said on the futility in trying to stop thinking. There cannot be a mind without thought, like there is no sea without water. My own idea of meditating is stepping back and witnessing the mind generating the thought. Thought is magnetic, can instantly grab you right in (and usually does). The practice of meditation is to become the witness, not the carrier of thought. A witness who lets thoughts flow, and does not judge, nor intervene.

You are truly making the world a better place. I watched your London Real interview and it was by far my favorite and changed my whole perspective. You are the man Peter!

Watched this around september 2015. Been meditating everyday 10 minutes when i get up and 10 minutes before bed ever since. As for the thoughts, you get better and controlling the ones you want to tune out from as you turn it into a habit

+ijaz khan Careful Ijaz, this sounds to me like a typical beginner's mistake. Meditation is not about selecting/controlling the thoughts you want. It is about noticing and accepting ALL thoughts. That's the only way to realize, that we are not our thoughts and to experience stillness. Every attempt to select/control will only add to the noise.

Hey Peter, thank you should much for this video. Just this week I noticed how unconnected from myself I am. I used to meditate and practice gratitude, but eventually I stopped doing those things. Busy life and trying to get a startup off the ground. But life is much more than that. Its being present, loving unconditionally and accepting the moment that is. I will start with 10 minutes meditation, 5 minutes visualization and 3 things to be grateful for every day. Could you share with us maybe in a video how you do your visualization? Thanks!

I think with your guidance, I might be able to finally push all the way through to mastering myself, it’s been a long process with many setbacks, but I find your style very easy to understand. Thanks for sharing your knowledge in the way that you do.

so so true. the daily reality is slowly becoming a chain of distractions. question is - what can you do? turn of notifications and email thats nescessary but not enough. not that easy to meditate in a cubicle. do I need to become a company director to be able to have my private office with a couch?

Hello Peter, I apperciate all your material posted on the web for free, very good stuff with a touch of humor. I'm curious; How old were you when you started finding your own answers to questions of life and our own perception of reality? Is self-discovery an journey travelled till death, or is it something you've experienced has got an "end" to it? Thanks Peter - Alexander

Haha superb! I would be interested in doing an interview with you over the phone for twenty minutes and asking you about some specific experiences of yours with the reason of later sharing it with others on my freshly started blog. My email is alexander.pirhonen@gmail.com and I would truly appreciate if you would have just a little bit of spare time ;) Thank you my man, the best of wishes :)

Ah ha! Zen.. funnily enough, I have been able to go into a “thoughtless” state - only for a few seconds at a time though. Its taken a while to get there. I would say it feels nice, and is a nice place to be, but its more than that; of course, words cant describe "it".The noticing only comes when coming out of the state. Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance is actually a pretty good read. All this aside, I've not found any benefit. As for downloading an app! I don’t even have a phone with that capability. There is no need. Yet, BILLIONS would disagree…
