The US and UK stopped it, according to the mediator, Israeli PM Naftali Bennett (he discussed this on his KZbin interview with Hanoch Daum). All this death and destruction could have been avoided, but the US saw this as a “cheap and easy” way to kill Russians. Not our proudest moment.

For example, the first HIMARS replacements, the Precision Strike Missile units, started rolling out last month. As the new platforms come online, the old HIMARS are slated to be mothballed. Instead of stashing them away in warehouses, we’ve been giving them to Ukraine. The HIMARS units started going to Ukraine before the first PrSMs became available, but one assumes that the timing discrepancy was carefully considered to avoid any significant decrease in US readiness.

He's more likely to get away with it in Ukraine which is neither in eu or nato. I just don't think the Russians have a real interest in using nukes but if they did it would be to take Ukraine.

I think it is underestimated how depressed a lot of people in this country are still about the passing of Rush Limbaugh. When I first heard he had cancer, I cried my eyes out. I remember where I was.
