My Dad is a Master Electrician and growing up I was the tool gofer as I got better at helping my Dad showed me more and more about his trade. Now I am a Journeymen Electrican and I owe all the knowledge to him and the five-year apprenticeship but if he had not shown me as I was growing up I would not be the person I am today, so helping your parents also helps you.

I see many fight getting trans in and even at work I watch them fight it. I piss everyone off at work I can make them go in easy. Engine at a angle pointing down, everyone lines input shaft parallel with throwout bearing perfectly lined up. What happen you push trans forward no longer lined up you have to keep raising jack up and fight it. Put input shaft where pilot bearing rides on to where its touching bearing inside throw bearing. It will almost fall in place when you push it forward and get input splined in the clutch. There is plenty of movement in input shaft to let this happen. I have shown many how and still won't listen and watch them get all pissed for nothing. Even watched one guy who kept slamming input into the clutch like some how he was going to force it together. It damaged input shaft, one clutch disc and dropped clutch disc's down. Guess who got stuck fixing it me file and grinding disc so much fun. What really pisses me off people should fix their own F-ups and not pass it off to other guy all because they are MAD.

At approx 20 minutes, you are showing two double banks of batteries, with the connections to be neg-pos connecting to pos-neg which will give zero volts end to end. Instead of neg-pos connecting to the second bank neg-pos, giving 24 volts end to end. At least it will not blow up, but you will need to redo a fair bit of the battery connection work. Mind you, they may have some screw-ball wiring that connects the two banks back to front.

How do you access those grease zerks on the clutch bearing? Are they just greased when the clutch is serviced?
@williamgurtner47593 жыл бұрын
A square hole, in the bottom of the bellhousing, provides access, to the throw out bearing. This hole, also is where, Steve would adjust the clutch through. Hope that helps.
@RMTTR6403 жыл бұрын
You can also put a hose extension on Eaton sells them for about 15 dollars ....makes it a remote grease point ..very handy
