Isn’t there some kind of diode that can be installed on there 12v power to the trailer so the current would only go one way?

Absolutely, there are isolators that will do just that. The DC to DC charges mentioned can also have that feature.

just goes to show me that my upgrading my Solar is going to be done by a company that specilizing in solar. Not the dealership. To many little things that would stop problems ahead of time that they would never think of doing for me.

All the equipment in your real truck runs off that 13V power. 14V can shorten the life span of that equipment.
