Continued: cut 50 Hf works great, this one has a new main board ( Nov 2019 ) circuitry is differential than older models there isn’t a bank of exposed IGBTs on each side. Many main board components are covered by the large heat sinks. Found I need extended torch tip kits in order to use circle cutter kit.

Hey Pete, another great and informative video. Just one question, with Pilot Arc Torches do you still need to drill a hole 1st if you need to cut a piece away from an edge or can you get away with it?? Cheers Pete

just hold your torch on an angle so you don't get direct blowback

Or use a piercing tip. I assume they’re available for these machines. A gauging tip would also work. Just hold the torch at an angle to avoid blowback.

nope you can't buy piercing or gauging tips for theses super cheap torches

@@petestools That's a shame. try holding the torch at about a 45 degree angle. It won't work for 6mm up, but it works on 3mm.
