Congratulations guys, great video. Obviously I agree with everything you say about the legendary Mancuso. Even the guitar, it's not the best ever, but probably Yamaha of which he is a partner, made the guitar to his specifications, I don't know if you've noticed, it has a small plastic rod between the 2 pick ups to anchor the finger when using his finger technique. However, when he started making videos he used a standard Gibson SG which I have also had for a few years and it sounds very, very good. Hello and thanks for the video 🎸💥🎶

I'll boldly proclaim it: Matteo will become the actual (and factual) best guitarist to have ever lived. Guys not even 30, and yet he has already mastered so many aspects of the guitar or is close to mastering them. And he stil continues to learn and evolve. Also, his note choice is ridiculous, he doesn't just play licks as if they're muscle memory. But what truly sets him apart from all the other masters is the fact that he can LEGIT play everything. People always wrongfully say that "guitarist A" or "guitarist B" can play everything, but it isn't true. Most Rock guitarists fail horribly at Jazz, Jazz cats sound too complicated for Rock and can't play stuff like Flamenco, Blues guitarists lack technique for more complex music styles, Classical guitarists have too much technique for simpler music styles and so on. Matteo legit can play all of those genres AND THEN SOME (not even Guthrie can play everything). That alone sets him apart. And again, he isn't 30 yet, he has neither reached his physical nor his musical prime. We might be starring at the actual best guitarist of all-time.

Great reaction! What stuns me every time with Matteo is that with his extensive techniques (left ánd right) and his knowledge of music and of the guitar he covers all the music styles possible. Just as easy on gipsy guitar as with classical, jazz, Latin, pop, all rock styles, ... you name it! I don't think George Benson or Steve Vi can play a Django Rheinhardt solo the way Matteo can for instance. Maybe country is a bit out of his zone, but it wouldn't take long for him to master that too! The guy is a genius.

Gentleman. I’m glad you returned. I play and have for years. I’m in my fifties and I started off playing to jams from the Scorpions, Iron Maiden etc. I developed of course and my taste became broad. You like metal and so do I but I would very much like your thoughts on SRV. I got to seem him play several years before he died and I remember only being four meters away and thinking ok, I’m a heavy rocker, I have heard of this guy but not my line of music. Ok….our drummer who was ten years older talked me in to it. I spent the next many songs feeling I had been playing for only three months in skill level ( I had been playing 12 years) when watching this man. Just blown away. Although a different style of blues with a rock mix. I watched you two play not long ago……you were fantastic and I loved seeing the younger generation having that much talent and pride. Would you, please review. Stevie Ray Vaughn (playing Texas Flood…live at EL Macambo). This place and this song gives you a good close up. Check out the size of his strings.

There are certain guitarists that venture past what everyone else has done and then influence the next generation...as Eddie filled the gap after Hendrix, Matteo is filling the gap after Eddie...it is exciting to see the unfettered experimentation we will be seeing, with melody actually involved without the mind numbing speed with no feel or emotion, where a song is forgotten 5 minutes after hearing it.

5:02 Nothing sacrificed....I disagree. He is a amazing player and I like his playing a lot, but there are certain things that the pick can do that the hands can't (or can do in a most effective way, depending on what you are looking for). The punch and the attack of the pick (specially for heavy riffs) is one example. The harmonics, like....if you want attack, somethig is indeed sacrificed, but he is brilliant on his own way.
