Petra must be a special person. She can imitate any instrument while still sounding like Petra. And as a bonus we get a photo tour of her life.

This is a spot on definition of her talent. I'll add, her fun, whimsical, and professional personality is also completely integrated into her music.

I'm reminded that a minor and a major 7 share a lot of notes, because the way I'm listening on my phone right now changes the emphasis and makes the major 7s sound minor. Beautiful.

I was a kid in NYC when this was a hit. Really takes me back. McCartney is timeless, and so are you. Thanks!

The beach shot is so perfect for me. I remember driving up to Maine, one summer and stopping at a beach in Rhode Island, where I ran, kicking sand and singing this song to the sand and the sea.

Wonderful! Another a cappella delight. And the cat during the bridge looks just like my childhood cat Simon (Bar Sinister).

This is grand!!! Perfect song for you to take on and you do such a great job with it! Would LOVE to hear you take on any Guster song that you might take a fancy to. I would think all of the great harmonies, song structure and percussion they do you be a treasure for you to play around with! Thank you for sharing your talent!

Excellent Petra! I remember when this was on the radio, when I was a kid riding around in the back seat. The whole family would start singing when this one came on. This is a really fun arrangement. Thank you! I also just watched your performance of Spiritual with Spain on KCRW. I love your solo there. Beautiful!

Hello, Petra. Nice. Pardon me for asking, but can you do your faithful cover of "Vive L'Amour" in an arrangement for TTBB (Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Bass 1, Bass 2) choir by Alice Parker and Robert Shaw with a sound of a 100-voice choir, 25 voices per layer (i.e. Tenor 1 layer of 25 voices, Tenor 2 layer of 25 voices, etc.) with your vocals ranging from F2 to Bb4 (the B-flat above middle C). (Feel free to record the TTBB parts in the tenor 1, tenor 2, bass 1 and bass 2 octaves, respectively and feel free to use the pitch shift *and* the formant shift for some impossible low bass notes, particularly the F2.) Thanks for sharing.
