The area around the lake is very pretty. Near my city there is a tunnel made of trees that are about 200 years old. All oaks. It also looks beautiful

I get it. My parents grew up in the Ludington area but moved to SW Michigan when I was young. More jobs in the lower half of the state. We love visiting Northern Michigan, though! And yes, eating fudge occasionally. 😉

I am guilty of eating fudge also and occasionally visit Murdick's and Kilwin's also as it is the original store, but not the one in Ann Arbor. The town has changed so much that I get lost at times thinking I know where I'm going. @@TakeATripTogether
