The girls & their partners did a fabulous job dancing at the jamboree. The moves, flips & not missing a beat was wonderfully done & beautifully arranged & coronated. Judging by the smiles on their faces, they enjoyed performing the dance & routine.

Another great episode. To bad America is not like it was back then. Peace & love & togetherness shared by all - family, friends, neighbors & yes even strangers. Kate even so much as showing hospitality to enemies like Bedloe when he stays at the Shady Rest. We can only pray to God for the restoration of peace, unity & Christianity for a better America.

The Emma Sweeney (referenced at 16:38) actually starred in a western called ticket to tomahawk. It was filmed in Durango and the model of the engine (which was also used for up close shots of the cannonball) is preserved on the outskirts of town in Santa Rita park.

12:00- The old lady on the left was a semi regular on The Andy Griffith Show as EMMA BRAN. She played another lady one one episode. My favorite episode of hers was the first one where she was "driven to her sick bed" by not having her "pills." ( Sugar pills- aka-placebo). Andy knew the 10 cents "Uncle Fred Walker" was a low price for a "miracle drug ' I wish KZbin carried TAGS. They only have bits and pieces of certain episodes.

Around 7:35 Charlie & Floyd leaving to get the part fixed. Charlie said to Kate "I'm worried about leaving you & the girls here alone with nutty Norman." Kate replied "Well Uncle Joe's here." Charlie "That's what I mean, can you handle two of them?" LOL - I love it. Joe is nothing but trouble always bad mouthing Norman, at least Norman was doing something to fix the train (Charlie & Floyd too) & where is Joe? Eating &/or griping. Norman even did Joe's chores to pay for his room & board. Joe's too lazy to do any work.

The seats & other chewable parts, guys! Goats tend to chew on anything and, well, chickens peck at anything 🤷🏼
@robertglass39444 жыл бұрын
@@marissasue319, I have chickens. Pecking at a thing is a far cry from eating a thing. They don't have teeth, and when they peck you out of anger, it doesn't really hurt, no bruising, and they can't break the skin. They eat what they can tear apart with their dull beaks and/or swallow.
@marissasue3194 жыл бұрын
@@robertglass3944 Yeah, I know. She said the chickens were laying eggs on the Cannonball. I'm sure "eating the train" was meant metaphorically, although, I'm sure the goats chewing on it was literal 🤷🏼

Brave Uncle Joe LOL He tells Kate not to go down to the train because they looked dangerous. Kate replies I'll be alright. Then Joe says, yell if you need me, I'll be having a bite of lunch. What a chicken he is hiding behind the skirt of a woman, letting her go down by herself instead of going with her.

It was so annoying everyone thought that Norman was a bum instead of a railroad exec. Couldn't Kate figure it out? I don't know why he faked his ID. Joe hated everyone...all he did was gripe.

Uncle Joe is a hypocrite... Not to mention just plain annoying. He has the nerve to complain about Kate (owner of the hotel) letting a man stay for free, do no work, and eat all the food; as if he (Uncle Joe) has any place to make decisions about the hotel. Joe literally spends his entire life free loading off of Kate like a worthless bum. He's such a pointless part of the family and contributes nothing to the hotel or Kate. Now he's gonna spend a whole episode whining because she's being charitable.
