I love this car. The only bad thing is you have to use key to turn on the engine.

People complaining about the small steering wheel but what about that bad visibility for the back window. And no reverse camera to aid is also sad.

Just FYI, if you are 186cm like myself, you will struggle to find space in this car. It is very tiny... which is a shame. It is a really nice car.

It's good to see Peugeot ramping up their offerings in Malaysia. It's an relatively affordable entry to European continental cars. For those that are interested in Peugeot, let me share my personal experience with my 308 1.6 THP. It's a different model, but Peugeot likes to use the same engine in several models (308, 3008, 408, 508, 5008). Drive Train & FC The 308 is powered with 1.6 turbo petrol engine, has sufficient power but it is not as fast as other similarly turbocharged rivals such as Golf 1.4 TSI. I think it's due to the weight and gearbox. Peugeot claims good FC, but I was never able to achieve it, my best is only around 11-12 km per liter, and that is highway driving. For my daily drive to work and back, I get about 9 to 10 km per liter. Comparatively, my 2.0 turbo-charged BMW 3 series (F30) gets me 14 to 17 km per liter on that same daily drive. My Prius gets me 17-20 km per liter on that drive but that's a given as it's hybrid. Standard Equipment and Practicality It has good standard equipment (for it's time and price) and has the French flair for design, but not very well built, it rattles after just 6 months of ownership. You got to love the panaromic moon roof though haha! Key things that annoys me back then, are still showing in the newest crop of Peugeot cars, which is mainly the fuse box taking up half of the glove box, and the slightly askew accelerator pedal, which requires you to adjust your sitting position. The 3008 that you are asking for review...is an absolute bargain base on the long list of equipment. Reliability and Service This is to me, the biggest problem for my 308. Mine was the 4 speed AT. but even my friends with the 6 speed AT in newer 308 and 508 had quite a number of issues, which the SC repeatedly failed to resolve. Spare parts are also expensive, it's nearing BMW and Mercedes price (such as the brake pads etc). Eventually after 2 years, I sold it off. My friends with the newer 6 speeder 308 and 508 have less problems, but eventually sold off by the 3rd to 4th years when more and more problems occurred. Still, I think the local SC by now should have gained sufficient experience after all the early adopters (guinea pigs like me), and their 1.6 engine and 6 speeder gear box should have undergone years of improvements (just like Toyota engine and gear box la...same one for decades, just minor improvement every few years, eventually become reliable after optimizing the heck out of it). Hope this helps.

Lovely car though these people persist with the small driving wheel that (what do they do with the feedback on this ) , for some people cuts through their view of the dash information. Coupled with the very poor view out the back window , that,s two of the three vital areas of view compromised . And no back-up camera . Reduce the plush Peugeot ,,,,,,, and up the safety .

Peugeot 2008.. so alang2 in so many ways.. why half glove compartment? And no reverse camera?? Sigh...
@boonkhongfoo24387 жыл бұрын
Peugeot is too lazy to redesign the fuse box from it's original left hand drive configuration. When they re-configure for right hand drive, the fuse box is still there...that's why the glove box is half haha! All the Peugeot cars have this "feature".
