I’m about to buy a used model and my choice is either the 508 gt 2.0 diesel or the VW Arteon 2.0 tdi r design. Both are beautiful cars loaded with kit and so close in quality to the German big 3. This is an absolutely fantastic review and I love how non biased you are covering all the aspects a prospective buyer needs to know 👏👏.

I had no idea the Arteon existed until now. So, I'd like to thank you for bringing this beauty to my attention, but also, I'm upset because it's out of my budget. I must say, the Arteon makes the 508 look amateur. Not sure I can look at the 508 the same way... not sure how I feel about that! Why is looking for a new car so difficult?! 😂

Jonathan, This has to be one of the best and most in-depth reviews I have seen. Your knowledge is very well presented and clear. It is nice to listen to a review that is not full of silly comments or half-baked jokes. If I might however, just add one point that I would have liked you to include, and that is the servicing costs and the comparative cost of the replacement parts that are usually needed at the various servicing periods, these expendable parts are filters, brake pads, and of course the labour charged at a Peugeot dealership. This is something I take into account when choosing a car. Many thanks for this comprehensive review and the information you have highlighted in this excellent presentation.

great content m8 its certainly better than the drab 2010 older 508 model i had years ago it was a big ugly lump A to B work car but ive got to admit i love the newer shape 18 plate 508 its class looking pal

Would you recommend this car at the end? I have an opportunity to buy one and that is GT line, 2.0 with 160 horse power. Mileage is 150.000km but the price is decent. Thanks.

@@markotakic8116 Yes I bought it in the end. Comfort and design are its main advantages, but I had some problems with the Adblue system. It's about the fact that when I was driving, white smoke was coming out of the exhaust, which was quite large. In the end, I took it to the service center where they told me that the problem was with the adblue injector. It burst and forced adblue fluid into the DPF filter and choked the entire system. That repair cost me about 350 euros. I had no other major problems, except for the electronics, which show some problems with automatic braking. Visually great car and many people ask me about it but as I said I think they lack final quality check in some areas. I have 508 in GT series with 160 horse power.
