All of this hard work only possible by supervision by the collie, very important role. Thanks for the video, will give this a go to fit a touchscreen soon.

Thanks so much! That first panel you removed has been creating an irritating and un-ignorable squeak against the silver panel in our Yaris. It would stop if I put my finger on it, but nothing else would work - even jamming things in the gap. Oddly, this squeak did not affect my wife at all, except when I couldn't stand it and diverted some driving attention to stopping the noise. I've never been sure how to open that area up, but based on your video I've just removed that first panel and smeared some grease along the two panels' overlap. We'll have to take the car for a drive to test it, but you may have saved our car trip harmoniousness! :)

Hi there, thanks for the comment and glad the video helped. Interesting that the grease worked. There is actually wee bits of adhesive felt or fabric material you can buy to prevent such rattles. Having a bit of a penchant for the french automobile experience dealing with the odd trim rattle is par for the course, old rags cut into strips and wedged in behind the offending areas tends to work as a cheap alternative. although it can be combined with some double sided tape.

@@peugeotCitroen2CV Oh, felt, good idea! I'll clean off the grease and try the felt of rag idea. Jamming sticks or paper towels up there didn't do the job, but now I know how to open the panel, I can do what you suggest.😀

Before I fitted my android headunit, I had a 1din sony stereo, and used an 1din adapter that had the headunit at the top and some storage on the bottom (it would fit a couple CDs). That could be a way cheaper solution

Many thanks for the video tutorial. Unfortunately I have the same esthetic problem as you. The original plastic facade is champaign grey and all the plastic replacements i have seen sold on ebay etc are silver grey. Has any of you have seen an champaign facade? Thanks in advance

hey man sorry, do the aerial have to buy for this car model? i mean the Toyota has an antenna cable which for any 2 din stereo you need the adapter?
@peugeotCitroen2CV3 жыл бұрын
Yes it required buying an adapter for the antenna.

I have installed a pioneer 700 series on my yaris, but I don’t have steering control anymore. Is there anyway to have the controls back?
@peugeotCitroen2CV3 жыл бұрын
You will need an adaptor that converts the steering wheel signal from the toyota yaris to the pioneer. I think this is your ticket: www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ctsty001-toyota-avensis-corolla-rav4-yaris-steering-control-adaptor.html Check your pioneer supports the steering wheel interface, and that that adaptor is correct for your year of yaris.

Can u tell me please how much cm the frame has on the inside? I want to know which Inch Screen does fit :)
@peugeotCitroen2CV2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Unfortunately i do not have regular access to the yaris to take this measurement nor did i measure it. The opening the kit creates will allow for a standard Double Din head-unit. There is a vast range of units of that size that will fit. Larger screens than that you may need different adapter plates, and for that i would ask on the owners clubs/forums to see what people recommend.

Hi I’m thinking about install a android car play in my 2009 yaris. My question is how many inches is the exactly fit for this dash ? My dash is same of yours . Should I go for a 8 inches or a 10 inches stereo ? Thanks
@peugeotCitroen2CV3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Sorry i do not have access to this car to be able to measure that up, the adapter kit just makes it suitable for a double din headunit which is roughly 7 x 4 inches. Those larger screens may need to sit forward or have some other means of getting the screen to sit, they might also interfere with other controls and vents etc. This is something you will need to look into yourself, google, owners clubs etc see what other people with this generation of yaris are fitting.

What adapter did you need to hook it up ? I’m looking at putting a Sony touchscreen unit for Apple CarPlay in and am unsure
@peugeotCitroen2CV3 жыл бұрын
It was an adapter from dynamic sounds, you will need to ask them as they supply the adapters. Tell them the make of your car, year, and also the model of the headunit

peugeotCitroen2CV I’m on about if it isn’t storing radio stations. The red wire on the harness is connected to the bullet connector as is the yellow wire, and you’ve to connect the red to the yellow and vice versa if your aunt doesn’t want to keep losing the radio stations

To be honest i do not know, i would imagine when ordering from dynamic sounds or other retailer you can pick what your car is for the wiring kit, the price should not vary too much.
