But ever since Felix started his book reviews, I've been inspired to read recreationally. I started reading for fun after asking for a bunch of books last Christmas. i find the way you interpreted the kobo abe book really interesting. it was a very valid and agreeable way to think of the symbolism in the book, even though my mind went in different places. i thought of the sand as more of an inescapable feeling of malaise, and the villagers as people who settle for the least in life. no ambition to be greater than they are. the homes being slowly engulfed in sand translated to how people would rather stay digging their problems away than make a ladder and have a permanent solution in my mind. the way the man made the decision to stay after being held in this village was almost like he just decided to give up, and this story to me was like a tale of a man who let himself go. this part to me was symbolized by how he was declared a missing persons, just like the man before him.

Since Felix uploaded his first ''Book review'' I've red over 20 books, it doesn't seem that much, but for me it's huge. Seeing Felix taking the time to read made me commit more to it. I started small, like 5 pages a day , that was my goal. But quickly it went from 5 to 10, to a chapter and now I could easily read for hours. If I had known this was a book review I would have watched a lot sooner. Best show on the channel. I hope he keeps making more of these and starts doing them more frequently. The transition from guy-who-shouts-at-games to meme reviewer was great, but the character arc shouldn't end there.
