As a rhythm game player, this tier list is quite accurate (At least in terms of popularity in my area), nostlagia is pretty niche, and Beatmania IIDX is usually for experienced players because it's considered as one of the hardest arcade rhythm game. In my opinion it’s a bit ironic He’s happy in Japan since The country is notorious for their societal depression And workaholic country, unless PDP managed to counter that aspect of Japanese society by being a foreigner. But I’ve heard that even foreigners weren’t safe from being seen as another Japanese citizen and having to deal with society like a Native Japanese person. I live in Japan currently. Taiko no Tatsujin (the drum game) is my absolute favorite game to play there. I can spend hours in a japanese arcade playing their rhythm games. My all time favorite arcade cabnit was one I usually found at Round 1 by Square Enix called Gunslinger Stratos. It used a cool pair of light guns with controlls on them, and the gimmick was that depending on the character, u had 5 weapons: 1 in each hand, 2 combining the guns either sideways or top and bottom through magnet sliders, and a melee option by putting the guns down by your sides. It looks like it was imported from Japan, so if you find it, try that one, very fun, I plan to get one for my self in the far future.

Love the passion in this one. I’m not gonna lie, whenever I’ve been in a Japanese arcade I get intimidated that there’s a level of Japanese required ‘to do well’ which I’m sure there is sometimes, but it stops me from just going for it because public anxiety 😂 I feel like the volume Felix is speaking at is different. It’s like, I’m expecting book review level energy and maybe that difference is an adjustment for viewers but the dialogue feels a bit too constructed. Totally has to be with that many games I suppose otherwise you wouldn’t remember what to say. But I’m so glad he’s having fun with it and we’re getting content like this!

Thank you for playing these games! Personally my favorites are Sound Voltex, Beatmania IIDX, and WACCA (Though I'm really sad that WACCA is offline now...) IIDX is definitely a game that is super hard for anyone to get into because the control scheme isn't made for human hands, but once you spend hours getting past beginner stuff, it's honestly my favorite game ever. Super fun and really good music.

I know you already made a video about your move to Japan, but it would be cool if you could make another one like, How is it playing games/calling with your friends back in the UK/US, is it still possible or is the ping a big issue? and since you moved a whole continent, do you worry about visiting your friends, and how hard that may be given the flight time and costs etc? I'm loving your content recently, it seems like you're sharing something you enjoy, very naturally with your viewers, super entertaining to watch, especially now the content is about Japan theres a lot of cultural aspects that are interesting and beautiful, but also a lot of nerdy stuff that I love seeing you explore!

Donkey Kong Bongos was a reskinned Taiko no Tatsujin. Like an attempt to bring Taiko to the west. Taiko is the OG so it's more accurate to say Donkey Kong Bongos is like Taiko no Tatsujin.
