Aeronave A320 decolando de SBGR-SBFZ.
Durante a subida inicial passamos bem perto de urubus e um balão logo abaixo da aeronave, graças a perícia do primeiro oficial, que rapidamente tomou a decisão de desconectar o piloto automático e baixar um pouco o nariz da aeronave evitamos uma possível ingestão do pássaro que passou logo a esquerda da aeronave.

Just after lift off it is possible to see vultures passing by the left side of the aircraft, the FO in control, quickly disconnected the autopilot and with a slightly pitch down attitude may have avoided a bird ingestion by the left engine.

This video should be shown to all the ignorant and arrogant people out there (especially journalists) who say the pilot is no longer needed in the cockpit anymore due to the complexity of the Autopilot, proof is here showing that if he left the AP engaged there may have been a collision, and worse in the engine, potentially resulting in a crash

+767nutter Because I'm pretty sure they can install radars that will detect anything in front of the plane, and if there is something, the plane will automatically adjust. In fact, the computer will probably act faster than the pilot and will see the bird way before the pilot. They already use this technology in self-driving cars.

chickenceiling They have radars of course, however lets say the airborne collision avoidance system (ACAS) detects a possible collision the pilot has to either input commands to the autopilot to make the autopilot change course or manually fly the aircraft, the autopilot cannot do this at the moment, and a computer will never have the gut instinct a human does,

Não sou casado, então tempo com a familia não é problema, mas vejo muitos colegas se desdobrando para balancear a vida de piloto e familiar. De resto levo uma vida normal, procuro me exercitar, e curto uma internet se isso pode ser chamado de hobby, alem de fotografia, esses filminhos, etc.... vida normal. Quem voa internacional realmente tem uma escala mais folgada mas nem por isso menos cansativa pois são muitos vôos noturnos e longos.

No ILS localizer was available at that time for that runway. The LOC signal is required for that on takeoff roll.

It is actually the pre-selected speed for the next phase of flight, if you plan to TO and mantain 190kts after liftoff all you need to do is insert 190kts on the Climb Performance page, it would show blue 190.... on this case wee have selected MACH .78 as pre-seceted speed on cruise page. So when cruise level is reached speed would revert to select .78... and MACH .78 in blue will be showing during the whole climb....

Hey there! The Airbus is very cool machine, it does not actually have a single main input to calculate it's actual position and navigate, it will mix GPS+VOR+IRS+ILS LOC signals, all automatically tuned during the flight, to figure out with maximum precision it's position. The more of the above you have available the more reliable the position is. And if everything above fail there is still a raw data procedure to be done, just tune manually a VOR, NDB or ILS and navigate as the old days! Regads

Toda empresa aerea opera apenas vôos IFR, independente das condiçoes meteorológicas. Seguimos todo o programado no plano e eventualmente, muito raramente cancelamos o plano e fazemos uma circuito visual, normalmente é mais pratico fazer o procedimento, principalmente em locas com vetoração e aproximaçoes RNAV.

Yes, everytime you use manage mode you are flying what was calculated by the FMGS system, if you need to deviate from that just switch to select....

Ok so you got that right, all you have to understand now is that THR CLIMB is a fixed thrust, so thrust will be kept the maximum climb power.... once you level off at any altitude, if this mode was kept the aircraft would not be able to adjusting the pitch attitude to maintain the selected speed, otherwise it would climb or descend, right? So that's when the SPEED (thrust mode) comes in, the engines are no more at a fix power but will increase or reduce thrust to maintain the selected speed.

The aircraft will calculate the optimal clim speed based on weight, flight level, cost index,etc... if you inyend to fly on a specific speed than use select speed for climb.

É um conceito que merecia uma boa pesquisada no Google, pois envolve um assunto muito estudado no curso, uma vez q lidamos com diversos tipos de velocidades durante o vôo. Ficaria meio dificil explicar tudo em um espaço bem pequeno como aki no youtube, para complicar em grandes altitudes passamos a vomos em MACH e não em KNOTS.... tem uma materia inteira no curso de performance só para estudar isso, sugiro vc dar uma pesquisada na internet e se tiver uma duvida mais especifica postar aki e

The ILS signal used for RWY mode was off at that day, for this particular runway in use for TO.... without that the aircraft has no reference to display the RWY guidance mode.....
