Oh you did it now, questions to answer. RPM -- do what us Minnesotans do, "She's turning 800 revs". Candy bowl, oh whoa, deep flashbacks to wonderous times. Grandma had an Emerald Green one made from Crystal. The lid and the bowl both had a saw tooth shape so the lid would mesh with the bowl. Always had it filled with Butter Mints. Thank you for bringing that set of memories out of the dusty archives of my memory. Nothing is better than Grandma's house. Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to 😎😎😎🙃👽👽

I imagine that you must be just as surprised as the rest of us when the grain shows up. This time is no different. Between the color of the cedar and the grin of the wood, I would be happy just to look at it for a while. I had an aunt with a candy dish very similar in shape, only it was beaded milk glass. Yup, very happy memories of that.

Wonderful design, I too like cedar. The use of the pearl crystals is a great design touch, gives a more unique look than coffee which I use a often. And thank you for your work in health care, I am retired from the field and in these trying times stay healthy.

Beautiful bowl. I like cedar. It's a funny wood. It can have really hard areas, and really soft areas, all in the same piece.

Beautiful bowl Peggy and my grandmother had candy dishes out as well. Now this novice turner needs to find some cedar wood for myself.

Beautiful bowl! I too am still working, in a factory producing pcb parts for ventilators, not quite the same as your noble profession, but it saves me going mad being confined at home! Just love the weekends, my Woodturning time!! Be safe!
