CORRECTION: Phanteks have told us that 2x SSD brackets will be included on the final release. There will be 3 versions of this case: -P400 Window (Black/White/Gray) -P400 Silent Window (Removable dampening plates at the top + included filters too. Same 3 color options) -P400 Silent Solid (Full solid panel, dampening everywhere, same 3 color options)

+HardwareCanucks are all cases from them have upgraded window panels? thats the only thing stopping me from choosing the Enthoo Pro. im leaning towards the smaller Pro M since its window is more scratch resistant. can you please ask phanteks?
@ozzyp979 жыл бұрын
+Gaius I've been moving my Enthoo Pro around quite a bit with only a towel as protection and the window is doing fine. It might not be the best of plastics, but it's good enough, especially when the rest of the case is just fantastic.

Phanteks is THE case manufaturer of 2015. No case made with major flaws or missing feature and great price to feature ratio. I like this kind of simple and elegant exterior and I really like the way they implemented the leds to match basically any color combination of the system, but I wish the "underglow" led strip could be turn off without disconnecting it.

+TommyThousandFaces One missing feature tho, and a pretty big one; no support for Hard drives if using a 360mm radiator in the front. None at all. Basically a big "fuck you" to people who like a cool computer AND lots of storage space.
@TommyThousandFaces9 жыл бұрын
mygetrichslowplan Well this is the direction most case manufacturer are going. Also maybe their goal was to make a case that everyone should be able to fit in their setup. If you want a case that can house 360mm rad AND hard drive cages I think you'll have a lot of problems finding one that that small or even one at all also at that price.

Nice pre-release review Dimitri...I Just finished a new build using the Phantek Enthoo Evolv case in silver..totally awesome ! Phanteks needs to give their engineers a big fat raise, they truly have their fingers on the pulse of what the consumer wants and needs. Once they tweak the small bugs out of this case, it looks to be a winner in this price bracket.

Also for some reason most modern cases dont have mounting holes for smaller ATX/mATX motherboards. My prehistoric Ammo 533 has mounting holes all the possible ATX/MATX combinations. Since many of the new motherboards have non standard ATX sizes, case manufacturers will start providing mounting holes for these motherboards.

Looks like a great new competitor to the NZXT S340. Funny, I wrote that before the end of the video where you said the same thing Dmitry! I'd say "great minds think alike" but it's more like I've watched too many of your videos haha. Only problem with this case is that the Enthoo Pro M is a far better case for little more money. I think Phanteks shot themselves in the foot with this one. Even worse if you wanted to slightly mod the top by drilling holes to mount a radiator in it, you really can't due to the large 10mm lip between the ventilated area and the sides of the top. Other than price, there really isn't a lot going on here.

Need to be able to have a 360mm radiator in the front and at least 1 3.5" drive. Perhaps mounted vertically (like the SSD mounts) on the back of the optional HDD area as these would be un-usable with a rad in place anyway. I believe Thermaltake have this in some cases.

@mygetrichslowplan9 жыл бұрын
This case has the same major, glaring flaw as the Pro M and the EVOLV ATX, if you want to use a 360 rad in the front, you lose out on ALL HDD locations, which is simply unacceptable. By far the most commonly used radiator size in custom loops is the 360mm, more and more cases are supporting it without modding, as it's an excellent balance of size and cooling power. But seriously, do they think that people who watercool don't need harddrives or something? This is something that could be easily fixed by allowing users to move the HDD cage closer to the PSU. Sure, you'll need to have a modular PSU, and you'll need to put some more time into cable management, but adding just a few more screw holes could have turned this case, and the other two I mentioned into a perfect case. And before anyone goes out and says that it's just something you'll have to deal with if you want front 360mm rads, take a look at the Define S, which found an (honestly) ingenious way to stash HDDs behind the motherboard tray to allow for simultaneous use of 3 HDDs AND a 360mm rad in the front that is pretty much as thick as you can buy! I love Phanteks, and I recommend their cases to all of my friends who are shopping about for a new case, but unfortunately it seems that for me, my only option on the market that allows for front 360 + Harddrives + reasonable price range is the Define S. Sorry Phanteks, but you are truly and thoroughly beat in this price range right now.
@mygetrichslowplan9 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks for understanding. I've gotten into a bit of spat farther down the comments with someone else who insists it's "overkill" to ever include a 360mm rad in a computer, and that no one needs more than a couple ssds in their computer. I feel like everyone forgot the spirit and drive that made the Primo so great, and is happy to watch Phanteks slide into the same old, boring patterns that we've seen Corsair fall into. The funny thing, is that Corsair's newest case actually allows for this exact thing, moving the Harddrive cage toward the psu to allow for radiators in the front. It's not like I'm asking for the impossible here, I just want the old phanteks back...
@styxwickorfrost8119 жыл бұрын
+mygetrichslowplan Yes! Exactly! Thats also another problem for me with the Pro and Luxe. Its either you get a smaller PSU or give up on the hard drive cages (and to a certain specific degree, use narrow radiators to fit a 420 at the top or just go straight to a 360 and go with the 5.25 to 3.5 inch adapters to fit HDDs) to fit a 240 at the front or bottom. Annoyingly, PSU's that have more power to give are longer than 210mm. The Define S pretty much was a winner in my book. They took what made their case great and improved it, plus showing Phanteks what's wrong with their case design. Other than that, as much as I praise Phanteks for their prices, features, and quality of their cases... I have to fault them on HDD's in terms of watercooling. No way in hell will I want to spend hundreds of dollars for a 1TB SSD for storage.
@eoinmcorks9 жыл бұрын
I say Phanteks probably felt that 360mm rads wouldn't be very common in this price range. This case seems to me that it's good for beginner users, and not for series watercoolers like yourself. You never know, 2016 might see Phanteks finish their Waterskin lin.
@mygetrichslowplan9 жыл бұрын
+Eoin Mc Namara I'm trying to figure out how I can explain my point so people will start understanding me. I am NOT saying that every person or even most people will put a 360mm radiator in their build. I agree with you that it is not a common situation in this price range. My point is that this is a flaw that could be fixed literally by drilling a few holes. We are talking costs likely less than a penny per case to give people the option to use a 360mm AND Harddrives in their computer.
@mygetrichslowplan9 жыл бұрын
***** That would be ideal, yes, but would have required more development and cost. My point was this: Corsair has had a number cases in different price points where the harddrive cage could be moved back towards the PSU by undoing a couple screws, sliding it down, and refastening. It's not a difficult concept to grasp, it's user friendly, low cost, and opens up more alternatives to consumers. I just get the feeling that Phanteks is riding out their initial hype with Primo and slowly releasing shittier and shittier cases. Phanteks is just the next Corsair. A once great case manufacturer that is now afraid to innovate.
@yusoffm34729 жыл бұрын
This looks better than s340 IMO. With more additions and have more premium look than NZXT's. That said, this case would be available in 6 months and priced at CAD 120 in my country, so yay.
@Iyokuu9 жыл бұрын
So since I didn't buy my new case yet, I'm not putting this in comparison with the s340. I like the concept of this case, but I think the s340 has more mounts for my SSD's and HDD's if I'm not mistaken. Only having one on the back, with no drive bays to place them in at all is rather disheartening.
