O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Some of those early trucks just simply had thin sheet metal around them & no major version of protection otherwise. They were still cool looking trucks & it took a special breed to drive them! Still love the color versions. Great stuff! 🥰🤩✌️

Certainly some very interesting scenes and while some were humorous others certainly pointed out the hazards of older poorly lit highways with Narrow Lanes. Also everything from shifting loads to equipment failures the open road can still be a deadly place. Thanks for sharing these Timeless pieces. Of course many Auto drivers weren't in tune back then either

That's probably true, personally, I think more car drivers were more aware, and understanding of a truckers job than drivers of today. Just my opinion and not the opinion of this channel or its supporters 😊

@@bertgrau3934 drove city bus for 21 Years starting in 1983 then in 2005 went to be a station Clerk. About 1995 people's driving really started going downhill and you got cut off more often no ability to merge running two red lights jumping the green lights passing in the parking Lane but when I started it was really GMC bus some of which were 20 years old almost. Today a lot of it has foreign components and I got the amount of plastic and fiberglass don't be in one when it catches fire. Best regards

@@paulbergen9114 I started driving big trucks in April 1978 drove a lot of different trucks, in all 48 contintal states, plus Canada, Kuwait, and Iraq. I understand about rude and wreckless drivers. That was just a part of the job. I retired in January 2022. My biggest complaint was stupid truck brokers. Have a wonderful weekend.

Strangest wreck I ever saw was either a Preston or a Roadway that was pulling doubles. He had run off the interstate out into a field and the back trailer was standing on its nose on top of the other trailer.
