Thank you THANK YOU guys, for not ruining it. Right from the intro, noticing that they pulled the tempo back a little bit, I had high hopes. Smooth, sweet, finesse, delicacy and a solid beat. For as much talent as was on this stage, this version of a masterful song is surprisingly … mediocre. Steve Lukather nailed it, but everyone else was just “okay.” Even the Cirque Solaei performers were underutilized. Seems this number was thrown together at the last minute before airing. I mean it was “okay” but considering the names on stage this could have been awesome.
