The guest was a little…boring? She was definitely not interested in putting in any sort of effort into the conversation or really contributing. It was a painful watch. I love the show, but, yeah…the guest was genuinely bad. But I guess every podcast has this problem occasionally so no sweat! 😁

Not sure if she contributed to the conversation without being asked and then would give a one word answer. Cubicle chat is a casual environment. Needing to be called on to engage goes against the vibe. It genuinely didn't feel she was interested in SOD or WoW as a whole.

I'm watching the vod and scotty asked about how us sod only players feel - whether we are bored already. Yes, yes I am. I have a main rogue at 40, lock alt at 40, and warrior alt at 35 and I'm very very bored. Not enough to do this phase.

I choose the guest, and I didn't give her enough of a heads up of the topics we were going to discuss to prep for. It's my fault, not either of theirs. I made a challenging triva game, on a first time guest, and that wasn't fair to her looking back on it. It's not easy being a guest on a podcast for the first time. She's awesome, I suck.

@@Omega_Contagion fun to hear :). The more I think about it the more it excites me :). I assume it is an somewhat easy change, so I wonder if any private server ever tried it.

@@snuffeldjuret making most of the mobs elites would likely be a simple-ish change? but I'd also like to see more changes to the mobs. Something like what Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is attempting with their "disposition" system. So mobs would have new random abilities, but random traits to them as well. Things like "alarmist" at the moment of aggro, they run to gather friends regardless of what is happening. Another one being "pyrophobic" any fire dmg they take causes extra dmg but also a high chance to cause them to flee. Or something like "gold horder" mob has higher chance to peel off and attack the player with the most gold in their pocket. maybe a more advanced disarm skill, where they don't just make you drop your weapon but they instead pick it up and use it and you can't get it back until you kill them, or use a disarm skill yourself. Any extra skills or dispositions would have a table of possibilities but, also some randomness, and they'd make sense for the mob. So things like a fire elemental isn't going to have the possibility to have "pyrophobic" on it.

I’m still loving sod but there’s definitely a content drought. Luckily for me I enjoy gold farming and leveling alts (yes I’m that guy) so I’m still keeping busy.

Honestly, work has been killing me since phase 1. I have no toon above 22. Goh magic prediction of phase 3 news was funny, but kind of bummed me out. I'm just honest with myself and realize I won't be catching up to my guildies until 60, hopefully they'll still be playing, but that's a whole other issue with my WoW SoD.

Rend > Overpower rune probably won't be very good in that state. This was taken from Wrath where you have expertise that can make you never get Dodged, and thus you put Overpower back in the rotation with the bleeds. In vanilla you still get Dodged relatively often, thus activating Overpower.

I've been sod only, and I'm not particularly bored but all my friends stopped playing after like 6 lockouts which sucks. They got geared crazy fast and I'm nowhere close

I think 8 to 10 weeks is probably the sweet spot for lengths of the phases in SoD. 6 weeks is too short and 12 is way too long imo. I just finally cleared gnomer a week ago becuase the pugs i where in where horrible and my guild just doesn't have enough people to come every week so we keep getting screwed by terrible pugs. I dont think rdf is terrible and a better solution in my opinion. I spend 1 hour spamming chat to do sfk on an alt. I could have done other things in the time wasted spammin and having people drop becuase it was taking to long to get into a group

Sod fucking blows, they have added zero new content, the cata abilities are cringe, pvp sucks big time, the 30 minute raid is not worth of multiple months of my wow sub.
