That’s called an interlocking grip. The overlapping, also called a Vardon grip, does not interlock but overlaps the little finger of the right hand over the index finger of the left hand, as the name describes.

I also got the Phi golf (WGT tour edition) for xmas... However, when I play any course on WGT it makes me play on my phone, like with my finger. I can not get it to sync with the phi golf club... any advice?

Make sure your Phigolf sensor is connected. It will pair to your phone. You'll see it on the top bar of menu in green if it's connected. If you select play now it should stay that way!

My Phigolf graphics don't look like that and I don't think it ever shows a player on screen. Is that only for specific courses or something?
