Phil I have a question! So after reading your book “Jesus Politics” I loved that book. But I would really love it if you could do a video about the book to people who maybe don’t have money for the book, or if they can’t get that book. Me not being able to vote because I am 13, but reading that book will help me in the future of picking who I want to be the president. So I was thinking maybe you guys could make a video because I think it would help people who can’t get that book and then teach them why you need Jesus in Politics

Everything that i have done wrong in my life that ended myself up in trouble wasn’t the action itself, it was the decision that i made before the action. So yeah it boils down to the choices. Good point guys on choice.

Our Lord and savior has been with me since I was a kid, I never knew how to process that, I can remember moments in my lifetime, that GOD was there, I have known the lord, for many years. I remember when me and my mother and brother and sister, lived on south 7th in Nashville, and a man would come everyday, and stand at the bus stop by our government assistance apartment, I'll never forget his face, but he would stand there and wait on the bus, and the kids of the neighborhood would taunt this man , because he had one of those things that you would stick to your neck to speak, and it would sound almost like a deep grinding voice, and I remember looking at this man and feeling bad about how he used this thing to talk , I can remember how bad it made me feel, I was maybe 6 or 7 years old, years go by and I find myself in a situation with other teenager's, and smoking pot, and cussing and feeling like I didn't belong, and as I got older the more I felt like this was not good for me, skipping years ahead, I was in my early 20s and I was moving to Mississippi, and ran out of gas around mobile Alabama, there was nothing but wheat field's on all for sides of the exit I got off at, as I set there scared to death and not knowing what to do next, a police officer pulled up and ask my what my problem was , and I told him that I have ran out of gas and I had no money, and I had no cell phone I don't think they were out yet , so he took me to the gas station and I called my mother she lived in LOUISIANA, so she said son I won't be able to get to you until tomorrow, so I walked back to my car, and as I got to my car a man pulls up from out of nowhere and ask me what the problem was and I began to explain my situation and I was cussing and all that crap and the man said ok and drove away, it was weird because I never saw his face and it was even weirder because when I looked at him his face seemed distorted, as I'm sitting in my car I notice an older couple broke down on the off ramp where I was sitting and as I'm watching these older people, doing something under the Winnebago I said to myself I want to help them but I don't want them to think I'm just after there money , so my inner voice said just go see if you can help them, so I go down to where they were and ask them if I could help and the old man said to me well young man thank you but I believe I fixed it and I said ok you all be safe and I started back to my car, and the old man ask me my problem and I told him and so he said well where are you going and I told him to Mississippi and he asked me where I was coming from I told him Nashville and he said that they lived in Nashville and they were going to see there son in Texas, and so he said will five dollars get you there and I told him no sir but I'm not trying to ask you for money and he said that's not important and then he said will 20 dollars get you there and I said yes sir and then some, so he said climb in and we will take you to get some gas, as I'm at the gas station the first man comes in and ask if the young man that ran out of gas was there and I spoke up and said yes sir I'm here and he said come on I got you some gas, before I left with the man I ask the older couple how can I pay you back and the old man said if you see somebody in need give them the 20 dollars I gave you , and I thank him and left as me as this man drove back to my car, it was like I couldn't see his face the entire time I never saw his face, he put the gas in my car and I thanked him and ill never forget what he ssid, don't thank me( God told me to help you ) and he drove away I never saw his face, I'll never forget how GOD intervened, and helped me through other people, folks GOD is always there he will never FORSAKE you nor will he ever abandon you, I'll never forget that moment, and now I'm in my early 50s and I have given that 20 dollars to multiple people, I absolutely know that GOD is real, and no man can tell me different may GOD bless each and everyone of you I truly do LOVE you all

No. Judas was not an atheist. Judas was someone who completely fell away and turned not just from the Truth, but against it. There's a difference between backsliding/being imperfect (still sinning but through sanctification sinning less)/even times of doubting in the believer's life and a complete falling away from God. "It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace." (Hebrews 6:4-8) And this is exactly the case of Judas. Judas had been enlightened by Christ; he had tasted the heavenly gift and shared in the Holy Spirit. But after he betrayed Jesus, he couldn't bring himself to repent of what he'd done, so he took his life.
@artpowers812

Judas was not an atheist. But like the rest who asked after the Resurrection, "Lord will you now restore the kingdom of Isreal," he didn't have near the understanding of just what Jesus' kingdom is. The other Disciples didn't understrand either as evidenced by the question above. The motive could have been to be to push Jesus to doing what Judas understood He could do, restore the physical Kingdom of David. When it didn't work out that way, Judas, then satan filled, knew how wrong he had been but refused to repent from the evil that was dwelling in him. This is just one persons understanding of what happened.

john 17:12 judas was a son of perdition. This whole choice thing is crazy. we have free will in the sense that we go left and right. We choose in our sinfull desires. eph 2:1-3. we must be awakened by God before we will ever choose Him. regeneration preceeds faith. Rom 9:22 also makes clear God is involved in everything. God is sovereign in all things if not He is not God.

Jesus died for ALL THE SINS everyone committed from Adam to the last one. That's the hope people, that they will believe when they hear. it seems like a lot of Christians don't even believe that Jesus died for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD! Yeah, only the ones who believe believe, it's our job to share the HOPE that everyone's sins have been paid for not try and convince them to believe. This is why we don't fear when a drunk guy breaks into our hotel room in the middle of the night or when a stranger walks up on us while we're pumping gas at midnight. We don't have to shoot them in the face, their sins have been paid for too.

When John says in his first letter that Jesus died "not only for our sins, but also for the sins of the whole world" he does not mean every individual. Rather, he means people from all around the world and people in every nation. There's a nice parallel in John's gospel which demonstrates that this is his meaning: John 11:51-52 -51 "He (Caiaphas) did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, and not ONLY for that nation but ALSO for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one." This means "not for Jews only, but also for people from every nation." It does not mean every individual who has ever lived. Jesus gave us the Great Commission to go throughout the world and share the Good News of the free gift of salvation (to put their faith/belief in the Jesus' redemptive work on the cross to save mankind from their sins) Because once we believe in Him, we are given the Holy Spirit, so that we may repent from our sins and have our hearts changed by Jesus. But yes, we should definitely share the HOPE that faith in Jesus' sacrificial work on the Cross gives us!

@@katiedc8239 the Greek word used for whole in : not our sins only, but the sins of the whole world. MEANS ALL. If someone doesn't believe: he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. My main point to the robertsons is that when Jesus said LOVE our enemies he said it the exact way He said to LOVE our neighbours and that will always be why I comment on a Robertson video. So if you are here to try and convince me that when john said whole world, that he didn't mean it, YOU ARE FOLLOWING the traditions of men. If you quote scripture then have to go around Hank's barn to explain why you believe the EXACT OPPOSITE, you ARE following the traditions of men and NOT Jesus. I do not like that the Robertson's use 1 Corinthians 13 as an excuse to kill enemies when God Himself said that Corinthians 13 is a template on how to treat our enemies.
@ThirzaTumTum
@ThirzaTumTum 3 жыл бұрын
@@katiedc8239 Jesus paid for the sins of the whole world, John 3:16 says For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. There the word world means world. And in 1 John 2:2 the Greek word is holos whole or all i.e. complete. All, altogether, every whit, throughout, whole. Jesus Himself said some would not believe Him.
@katiedc8239
@katiedc8239 3 жыл бұрын
@@ThirzaTumTum Okay, I don't think you understood what I said. And maybe I misunderstood what your initial post meant, but I was only responding to YOUR words: "it seems like a lot of Christians don't even believe that Jesus died for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD! Yeah, only the ones who believe believe, it's our job to share the HOPE that everyone's sins have been paid for not try and convince them to believe." I do believe Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, which yes in Greek means "all", and again I say, using God's own Word (Scripture as proof text, John 11:51-52) and NOT my own opinion, that means that Jesus died not just for the Jews in the Middle East, but for people in ALL nations. But your comment said we should be focusing on the hope of all being saved (?? I guess, although that's simply not true and unBiblical?), and not trying to convince them to believe? Yet the entire New Testament is about putting one's faith (BELIEF) in the sacrificial and redemptive work Christ did on the cross to save mankind from his sins and have eternal salvation in Heaven with Him, that He was the Messiah that had been prophesied about in the Old Testament. And even if, let's say you're right, that Jesus died for every single human being that ever lived, every sin ever committed (which is not right otherwise Jesus wouldn't have said, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day." ~John 6:44 and a bunch of other similar passages about the "elect"----which of course only GOD knows who "the elect" are, but we are to share the Good News with everyone), but let's say what you're saying is right, we still need to share the Good News so people will BELIEVE. Otherwise, what was the purpose of Jesus telling the Apostles to go out into the world and spread the Good News? It was to get people to BELIEVE in the Truth, Jesus Christ and what He did to save mankind. So, I'm not understanding why you're attacking me and my faith. Please? We're on the same team? I follow the Bible, not what people think, and believe *very strongly* in correct interpretation, lest people be led astray. So please, let us not squabble with one another over this and have a teachable spirit, as God instructed. Everything I shared was out of His LOVE.

Romans 9 IN NO WAY explains that God creates atheist or anyone who can't believe or human beings for destruction. Please be careful flippantly saying things like this guys. Romans 9 uses the Potter/Clay analogy to explain that, like God chose Isaac and rejected Esau NOT based on their merit or lack thereof, He is also choosing Gentiles if they only believe(Grace through faith) not based on their merit. He is explaining this to Jews who think THEY are God's only chosen through the Old Covenant (Hebrew Law) and Paul is crazy...

Prior to being saved I was already a nurse, (now retired after 35 years) and I recall a conversation with my parents concerning abortion, and the divide between the pro life side, the pro choice side, and the courts / government's involvement. My opinion at the time was the unborn child was just tissues and not a person yet. My position on abortion at the time was it should be a personal decision arrived at based on a discussion between the doctor, the woman, and the man in her life, the courts and government should have no say in that decision making. My father countered my argument by telling me I'd left out someone in the decision making process. After giving that some thought I had to ask Dad who I left out. He answered the baby. From then forward I joined the pro life crowd. Not long after that eye opening conversation I was saved and baptized. I'm a fortunate person who was raised right, it just took me a while to return to my upbringing. Thank you Jesus.

So I once was a catholic baptizedas a baby, and had grown into atheist by 25, however! once I read wikileaks and saw people were talking to satan, this made me soooo happy. That's when I knew if satan was real, then God was too. And it was when I read wikileaks, and seeing people worship Satan That made me know the other half of that story was true. God was proven real to ME then.

Good Morning, May I suggest....the twelve disciples were not the only ones speaking in tongues. Acts 1:15 indicates there were about 120 in all. Also Acts 2:3 informs us the Holy Ghost sat upon each of them. The conclusion is the whole estimated count of 120 were speaking in tongues. It must be understood they were NOT preaching the Gospel, they were only speaking of the wonderful works of God as recorded in Acts 2:11. The Gospel was not preached until Peter stood up and began to preach to them Jesus. It has been mentioned before in the “unashamed” pod cast that Peter was given the keys to the kingdom in Matthew 16:19. This fact is important to note because when Acts 2 takes place we must understand that Peter was the first and only one to preach the gospel because the initial unlocking of the kingdom was his responsibility. Now what that means is this - the teaching that the tongues in Acts 2 was for the purpose of the gospel to be spread to every nation in their language is FALSE. Again, the tongues were NOT speaking the gospel. So here is the truth - the tongues were evidence of the entrance of the Holy Ghost. Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:8 that a person who is born of the Spirit would have an experience likened unto the wind. It will transit wherever it desires and a sound would be heard. The Key words Jesus spoke in John 3:8 are these "So is EVERYONE who is born of the spirit". In Acts 2:2, the key words are “as of” in the KJV. It was NOT a wind that was heard!!! Acts 2:3, the key words are “like as of” in the KJV. It was NOT a fire that appeared. In a John 3:8 Jesus used something the human mind could understand to describe what had not yet been experienced. That being said... we must conclude through these truths that EVERYONE who is Born of the Spirit will have an experience in which the Holy Ghost will blow into their heart and it will sound forth as another tongue spoken from the mouth. NO ONE IS EXCLUDED FROM THIS EXPERINCE WHEN THEY ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT This is not learned but occurs as the spirit gives utterance as is seen all through out the book of Acts. Good bless.

I love the Story of the Ethiopian Eunuch! Here was a man that traveled for miles to worship at the temple. But, because he was an Eunuch he was denied entrance by Torah Law. Eunuchs were excluded from temple worship by Torah itself (Deuteronomy 23:1-3; Leviticus 21:18-20), not for moral or ethnic reasons but because they were understood to be "blemished," excluded by the purity laws in the same way that blemished lambs were not acceptable as sacrifices. This is a ritual exclusion that did not regard the "blemished" as morally or socially inferior, but there were real social and religious consequences. According to Leviticus, they could not serve as priests; for Deuteronomy, they could not be admitted to the assembly of God's people at all. Imagine traveling that distance Only to be denied entrance. Jesus himself was also denied his rightful place in the temple. The Ark of the Covenant is the throne of God, but, when the Anointed One, (Jesus) entered the Temple his throne room was empty. The ark was not in the Holy of Holies. It had been removed in the Boyhood days of Samuel. Then the final act came when Israel asked for a King. These two men, Jesus and the Eunuch had something in Common. The Eunuch was the fulfillment of the words spoken to the Woman at the well. 19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” 21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” 25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” 26 Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you-I am he.” Man no longer had to travel to engage God. God would now meet man where he was. Even in the desert. That pool of water in the desert was a Bronze Laver in the middle of nowhere! And The Messiah personally sought out this “Blemished outcast” Who was sincerely searching for God. Like the Messiah, and the eunuch, I was an outcast as well. I was despised and rejected, a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief. But No more! The REJECTED High Priest, and KING, sought me out in my desert. The Prophet asked the Question, Who will declare his Generation? The Eunuch and I shout out, “I WILL! “

My parents took me to church at 1 week old. The verse that says to raise them in God’s ways & when they’re older (if they turned away) they will return to the teachings of their youth. Even in my my most sin filled times of my life I still prayed & knew that I was saved bc I was taught that Jesus never leaves nor forsakes us. I 💯 believe once saved always saved. Baptism doesn’t save us, believe & acceptance of Jesus as our “Savior” saves us. He is called “Savior” bc he saves us! This is the “Good News”! No one gets to the Father w/o acceptance of the Son. Even through our sin Jesus never leaves us if we’ve accepted him & invited the Holy Spirit into our life, body, soul, heart, & mind. Baptism is what we do as Jesus did as a symbol of the death, burial, & resurrection of our old life to the new. Baptism comes after we’ve accepted Christ as Jesus did & to show others publicly of the decision we’ve made. We can dedicate our children to God but, they have to make that choice on their own. Baptizing your baby through any means is ridiculous bc until the age of accountability they are innocent. They don’t know right from wrong about salvation so they’re guaranteed a place in Heaven. Always be sure to explain this to any person that you share Jesus w/& let them know these truths. ♥️🙏🏼😎

You all are teaching that we seek Jesus and that if we seek hard enough, we will find Him. That’s blasphemy! God draws us completely by His sovereignty. You all keep trying to be righteous when no one is righteous. If you are truly believers, what you have to do is be filled with the Spirit to fulfill God’s will. Stop preaching choices because that’s the complete opposite of what the Bible teaches.

Was Judas an Atheist? I wonder if he is like the demons in James 2:19 who knew who Jesus is/was and shudder but are still condemned because they lack faith. Judas may have known who Jesus was but wanted him to do his bidding for his own ends instead of God's bidding for His kingdom. I fear many are sitting in churches, proclaiming the name of Jesus but are on the same path to hearing "depart from me. I never knew you." An atheist is something a bit different in my mind.

So I had this same question. About should I get saved again. Now I could talk for hours about it but for me yes I am going to get re saved this is why I did it because I wanted saved I wanted love but I wasn’t ready to give myself over to Christ in my heart I thought I was going to lose all my fun! Why is that because I was in a trap saying this is what fun is this is your friends well friends can take you to hell just as fast friends. But what’s amazing is the more I feel like I wanna get saved again I always look back and say you know it’s like the son that was lost but now is found. But the real question is do you know Jesus in your heart. So I’m still fighting with myself lol on it so I guess I had no answers for anyone just a ramble. I feel like I didn’t have it in my heart and was still living for the world but the good news is god knew what was in my heart and what was to come and I am a believer now more than anytime in my life but god never went anywhere he never left me he still answers my prayers now it’s like ok now I have your attention you know what you have to do. You know how to live you know what your purpose is better get on it! So now I feel like I’m always just repeating every day and realized how imperfect I am and how I need him and how without him I will be one sad sap my friends. Also the joy of knowing I’m getting outta here is an awesome as Phil says peace of mind. Idk just this little okies thoughts thanks for letting me ramble!

You guys are spot on but yes once something is created it cant be uncreated god gave humans the powerof creating...angels are opposite but in some instances can reproduce but not in the correct way think of "god as a radio station" that a person is tuned into...but without god is chaos..with god is order..things work on a more realistic plain than most can understand..operating right under your nose a spirit realm and physical realm as earth as in heaven.. dont let pastors give you this idea of fantasy.. for example "tongues of fire" it simply means a fast rambling person..or truth that pierces to the heart same as "cold hard truth" how do i know? because im "unique" made that way physically by god abortion really just delays blessings after you try and change your destiny so many times he gives up (like if your trying to give someone a gift but they turn it away) you only offer it a few times then well you go on your way.. god only knocks so long...then your just forever lost in chaos..refusing blessings only goes so far.. god is a master at math figuring up probabilities crunching numbers in a way most cant comprehend that pin drop is it random? when god moves the atoms and molecules that make up that very pen that was dropped at precise time in earth’s perfect rotational speed into air that you think exist? to understand further in real time we are moving at infinity speed though space time doesnt exist because we only calculate time by rotation of the earth god has to slow down movement on earth.. our minds and bodies couldnt handle infinity..earth is a test a cradle to be born into.. father on earth like god he dont let you out of the playpen until your mature/responsible enough to handle freedom and to obey him when your faith and gods faith in you reaches higher your given more responsibility.. and people thought it was random..lol your very first name is gods name for you you can say all you want your parents named you but who influenced them? we are all one big family and are gods children people dont change really we are a "similar" version of the past figures..personality is influenced by genes and god is the only one who can read those genes that is why some will end up with different eternities heaven or hell...if he cant reach you in 80 earth years why bother with infinity?... and its forever dont get me wrong..there isnt an exact copy of you but similar in interest phil is likened unto moses..zuckerburg to hermes jeff biezos to apollo musk to ceasar trump to david... in genetics its a copy of a copy until just the right genes come together

Al it doesen't matter whether you have 1 tank or 2. There is only 1 fuel pump to deliver gas to the engine. If the fuel pump goes out yer done. It's not a matter of getting fuel from tank 1 to tank 2. This is achieved by crossover lines that use gravity to allow fuel to move from one tank to the other. It is the fuel pump that delivers the fuel at pressure to the engine.
