Great to see a real teacher in action! She took the opportunity to teach him that he should never underestimate someone on superficial information. She taught him to like and respect her without shouting or pulling rank, and hopefully, never to mock someone again.

Great example for educators to follow as well! I like how the teacher didn’t take what the student said in a negative way, but was able to allow his comment be an opportunity for her to teach him a lesson in a creative way….and he did learn. 😂❤

She reminds me a lot of my second grade teacher. I loved her so much. She even recognized me when I was 17 and working in a restaurant even though we hadn’t seen each other since I was in her class. Incredible teacher. I will never forget her as long as I live. I only wish I could tell her how much she meant to me. I’ve tried to find her online, but no luck.

I love to see teachers that have fun with their students! And I love to see students that love their teachers! In high school, we had some teachers who would dress up and do funny skits, etc.. Even our quiet, unassuming male geography teacher dressed up as a student one time at our all-girls school - uniform, saddle oxfords, wig, hairy legs and all! (This was the ‘90’s - there was nothing offensive about it.) It was always so much fun, and made us enjoy their classes more knowing they had a sense of humor and could laugh at themselves.

I remember every single teacher and principal I had, beginning in JK and SK including all the school and teacher changes. Kids don’t have much of a voice, so if you were unkind to them trust that they will always remember you. If you show a child you genuinely care for them, they can’t ever forget you. Those are simply facts.
