ahhh man :D .... trouble ... I bring my first aid kit soon . I had the same misfire/ cylinder disable at 4500 rpm even with the map which was there . Thanks for the update

Great to see a video of the actual tuning process, very cool! I have some experience with tuning BMWs using the BM3 logging and map editor, seems that is way more integrated (and quicker) than these tools where you are using VCDS, autotuner, winOLS, etc.

Yeah I’m on the bm3 platform too, the concept is the same, just more involved

Car is owned by VAG Technic Ltd in Dudley, England. Full forged engine build on KZbin uprated tti turbo's, porsche injectors etc about £30000 worth as a guesstimate. Let's see 1k+bhp.

These make crazy power on a light tune turning the boost up. Isn’t downpipes on these absolutely horrible to do? Makes fitting them on my e63s a “doddle” 😂 I’d love to see some times from when it’s done, 100-200 etc

Engine temperature? Isn't it too low for going to max potential without potential damage? Temperature of water was low at first attempt (I didn't see the oil)... Or correct me, I'm not a mechanic! But when the engine is build, it's even more sensitive or not?

Oil was upto temp, coolant was ok just had a few mins of the fan blowing at it, but engine was on for a while before hand

not sure if in previous video, but are you running on the stock load axis? out of interest what bhp will the stock tables take you too (assuming you stop at the last row!!)? also what are the maf's good for. Ony my volvo t5 i have had to go to larger maf housing (rescaled in ecu) and rescale the load axis for the higher boost. luckily i have an eprom emulator so can make changes live, that 30 mins must be annoying. enjoying the vids, looking forward to the next one.

one possibly stupid question, why don't you increase the boost even more because the power increased from 1.78 to 1.9 bar and it seems that at these pressures it is the maximum power

Because I don’t want the engine to spread itself across the dyno, currently at 0.8 bar (take away the 1000mbar atmospheric)

@@scotten34 yes,it s not some big boost,i would have same power on my 5.7 hemi with that boost,and that would be max power for stock internals

13:21 - turbo button lit, ME7 style resolution and backing off at 5k. Where's the logging data? Before that we've got KFLDRAPP giving 40% and then complaining about stuff.. makes no sense. It's a V10 engine do 40% duty on hybrids revving is gonna make fuck all boost as the engine will eat that air with comfort. My 1k+ HP cars are making that power with 80% duty. Those custom injectors need to fuck off and the stocks go back with a set of Autotech pump internals.

Wasn’t backing off at 5k, the car misfires at 4.5-5k which we have already rectified, it’s not about hitting the numbers on the first run, it’s about setting it up. Pump internals already in, injectors give good head room, will be making the duty in later videos! But thanks for the constructive feedback 🫡

Look forwards to you solving this Phil. I had a similar car running 740bhp, and it was awesome. Docile in traffic, yet incredibly rapid when let off the leash. Good luck going forwards.

@@MrRudiz13 that is literally what you do at the end of the Dyno run to calculate losses also please understand how modern boxes work. Puts zero load on the box shifting it to neutral

I'm one of the weird ones whose trying to understand it all so unfortunately some of the details you were explaining I couldnt quite make out. Also love the transparency. Maybe your one of the only tuners doing these sort of videos. Everyone else wants to hide it as a dark secret as such but your videos are very informative. Keep it up. Definitely this channel will keep growing
