You will need to be able to reset the service reminder. On a Royal Enfield that can be done with button presses however not so with the Triumph. You will need to buy a service scanner tool that you will have to plug in under the seat in order to reset the service reminder. The levers to me look a bit short which means you get less leverage which means the clutch action will be heavier than full length, but that's obviously your preference. The arrow pipe is a nice exhust that looks good without been too loud. perhaps more expensive though.

I miss my Street Scrambler. Really fun to ride. The suspension was a bit too harsh for me though so I traded it in for the Scrambler 1200 XC.

@@luckyintervale It's a great upgrade compared to the SS. Better suspension, brakes and performance. It fitted my size better too (100kg, 184cm). Mostly rode it on gravel roads. I had the XC for four years but have now traded it in for a KTM 890 Adv R for more off-road performance. It doesn't sound or look as good though. Might get an XE as my next bike in a few years.

I put progressives on the front (ss), and Ohlins on the rear. Better but a long way from decent suspension still. But if I'm on dirt, I'll do 10kms at a time on the pegs and love it, do not too bad.

They have the 1200X now which is amazing. I think only 830mm seat height but has significantly more travel than the 900.

I put a Tiger alloy sump guard on my SS and that lifted the look a mile, protected the belly from rocks (do a lotta dirt!). Also just added a Booster Plug today...and yes it does make a difference. Will see if I still believe it's a £140 upgrade later. Definitely smoother and punchier around town. Like my direct mount brake reservoir too.

Ooh, was that the same sump guard for the Tiger 800 series? If so, I have one of those if it will fit. A direct mount would certainly tidy the look up :)

Gorgeous bike! Glad you got most of the tar off!! I had it been a year since I gave you a lift?? Wow! Interesting about the clutch switch being a problem! How on earth did you work that out? Sounds brilliant!! Such a good bike!

I was searching the forums for reasons why my fuel gauge stopped working and someone mentioned they had the same issue after changing levers, which I had also done so figured it out from that.

I had a dart screen on the bobber I got a lot of buffeting with the Dart screen the pipes sound awesome 🤩

Hey Phil … ever thought of sticking a bench seat on ? … best upgrade I put on mine .. and way more comfy than you might think 😊 although I did it more for the aesthetics. Great bike and great vid 👍

Yes, a brown bench seat would look great on this. However, I would have to lose out on the stock luggage rack. I know I can get an aftermarket one but it sits further back. So I think I'll stick to the single seat unless I can find a brown bench style single seat.

@@Phil480yes I put the Hepco & Becker rack on the back and looks a treat with the bench seat. 👍
