The song is the story of a returning Viet Nam vet getting strung out and paying with his life. At least, that's what I hear. A classic cautionary tale. Every member of Black Sabbath are masters of their crafts. On the day the first self-titled album dropped, heavy metal was born.

They recorded this album live in the studio in 2-3 days. That’s why it feels so raw and real. They played shows nonstop and honed their skills. Bill Ward is a jazz drummer and in my opinion jazz drummers are the best. Everyone in this band was the correct piece for the puzzle.

Children of the Grave, released the year I was born -and my reaction was in the womb with headphones on mom's belly - is my FAVORITE Sabbath Tune (which I heard live on The End tour)! 1st time I got high with my oldest kid (he was 17).

One of the worst songs to listen to for someone new to Black Sabbath. Love Sabbath but HOD, outside of where it speeds up, is rather lame.
