after watching this amazing movie I came to the said realization that the academy awards is not about the best movie of the year BUT THE best of the American movie because for sure, the intouchables should have own the best picture, and the best actor because they were excellent for that year in 2011.

Even in America most of us don't agree with the movies they select. I haven't watch it in over 20 years. Too political and nothing but a evening for the " oligarchs " to amuse themselves. Most of us here can't stand the Oscar's or Grammies. Your not alone.

I think that when she asked him what did he think about seeing people laughing at his pain. What a horrible question. People aren't laughing at him they laugh and smile due to their relationship. How he was being silly with a friend. People would laugh just the same if they saw any other 2 people being silly and showing a true friendship between them

This video appears to be filmed at a Conference for people who are disabled, and who are Care Givers, and it is connected to Het Dorp, a community in Holland established especially for disabled people. I feel privileged to be able to observe their interactions, and comments. The point of the interview is not to discuss the movie per se, but to exchange experiences and ideas with other people who are living with various disabilities in an open, forthright manner in a safe environment. I think it was very well done, the questions asked were relevant, and Philippe is an amazing, courageous man with a great sense of humour. An inspiration to us all!

I could relate so much to this film, when my stepfather was diagnosed with AlS, as a family we tried to make his time on earth special. We laughed, we cried and we tried to have the best time ever. I learned just because someone can't use there body doesn't mean they can't feel or express anything that any person can feel. I have learned so much from him and watching this film reminded of the laughs we had together and the love that shines through any situation.

I would so love to meet Philippe! I work with brain injured young men who face the same challenges every day and whose frustration with their carers often results in anger and violence. In the work place, there is not enough fun - it seems that there isn't time to be silly and everything is rushed because of the 'system' - very sad - but true in the institutional environment. I loved this movie! It shows how a person with disabilities wants to be treated in the same way as anyone else which again is true, certainly with the people I work with.

I've listened to the book. Now I need to get access to the movie! A;; tjpse nights in a Clinitron, listening to nothing but the heavy drone of the blower, It's sometimes quite hard, but you deal with it! You learn to cope. I know from experience! It's hard, but Smiling is the BEST medicine! Smiling, and Laughter! Because it could ALWAYS be worse! At least you have the ability to know that you're in an Air Fluidized bed. You have your hearing, and you can hear the blower. At least you know that you are ALIVE!

"Os intocáveis" Nem sei porquê deram a um filme perfeito um título desses, uma história de humanidade, de solidariedade, pois as vezes quem tem muito, tem muito pouco a doar. e o Philippe soube doar a Abdoll tudo que um homem espera receber, cultura, integridade, valorização. São coisas que nenhum dinheiro compra.

People not liking the interviewer - It was rather better to have that interviewer who asked those tough & direct ( for Philippe) questions , most probably because of lack of command on language and got some inspiring words out of the great man otherwise the same interview by a diplomatic and well versed interviewer would have been utterly rhetoric and boring. Moreover Philippe had no problem answering her questions because as shown in movie he preferred those direct people. Some of posters have shown here that they still did not get Phillippe's message from his life and his choices..
