If you are comfortable surviving with $85 in your pocket in a third world country then the best of luck to you. If I was down to $50k while living there I would be booking a ticket home on the next available flight. Things can go very wrong, very quickly there and if you don't see it coming you are screwed big time

Most people don't even have 50k savings. Why is 50k a low point for you?

@@erbxvdfb jobs are available if you can get off your butt and start looking. It also doesn’t have to be three times as expensive to live if you choose a smaller town away from the expense of the more popular towns & cities. Same goes for every country. I wished him the best of luck if he is happy living in a rented room with little to no income without any help. At least back home there is some government help available

@@jamessmith1652 $50k or equivalent would be enough for me to restart a life back home, and that would be a bare minimum. I left there with way in excess of that figure a few months ago and bought us another house, a car and have enough left in the bank along with my 3 pensions to live fairly comfortably. That’s what I worked for and prepared for all my working life. Just my opinion but I see no point living a life with less home comforts in a country with terrible medical facilities (which I encountered there twice), trashy food, high pollution and noise etc. Philippines is just not my cup of tea, simple as that but each to their own. Many westerners can put up with the life experiences encountered there with or without money. Horses for courses.

@@Ted-f4o077 You must be American im sure only Americans brag about their money and accomplishments to people they dont know or care about. Stay humble dude, one bad health diagnoses and none of your money or pensions will matter anymore.

@@Ted-f4o077 You would be just fine. I would have to hang out with a guy like you to figure out how to spend my money. It can be kinda crazy for me in the Philippines to spend $2000 a month I have a hard time. I actually make more off my rentals in USA. But don't spend it because I don't want people to know how well off I really am.
@inteland2734Ай бұрын
Just a suggestion for you. What they call bed space is running about 2500 pesos in most places in the Philippines per month this includes everything electrical, water, etc. I’m sure less in some areas. This may help with your budget, and may be a way to meet a kind family. That being said do an episode on your living situation.

Honestly, why don't you set up something where people can send you money for your content? If people find it helpful then they can send you something. If not then they don't have to. You might as well give people the choice.
