I think it is terrible that these C Pap machines have not been replaced. The defect was not my fault yet I feel I am the one being punished.

I added mine as a priority months ago when they first told us about it. I have Lung and heart problems and am over 80. No response of any kind. All BS and Hype to make it look like they are doing something.

I just received my replacement Phillips unit on October 21, 2022. It took about a year since I registered. It arrived unexpectedly. I received a FedEx shipping notification and it showed up the same day.

I followed the directions in this video and even clicked on the “manage my order” and there was information only. There was no link whatsoever to click on at all, much less one that mentions prioritizing my claim.

I just got replacement and it arrived with no notice and 7 weeks ahead of the date on Phillips website. On the site they said they would send you a notice before the new item was shipped. I went out to lunch and when I got home the box was sitting by my door. It is not shipped with a new humidifier. I had to un attach the old humidifier and connect to the new device. They should have shipped a new humidifier because the heating plate doesn't last forever and this way you would have a completely new or fully refurbished unit. I'm not sure the settings are correct either and I didn't write down the old one's when switching devices. It says 3. I'll ask my Pulmonary doctor when I see him to check. Lately I have been waking up from whistles from my mask. I wear a full mask and sleep on my side with the F20 mask. Since they changed the straps to this ultra soft material the mask always gets loose or pushed to angle where air escapes. Once this happens you get a whistle and it ends up waking you up. I can't use a nose mask because I keep breathing through my mouth. My mouth and throat would dry up and I would cough from my throat being parched. Even the full mask doesn't prevent this completely. It's puts pressure on your lower lip to stay closed from the pillows surrounding the mask. They deteriorate pretty quickly from saliva and don't last the length of time quoted by the equipment supplier. I'm on medicare so they can only send what medicare allows. They are good for about two weeks at best. Everybody is different. Some people don't drool at night and they last longer. I actually considered the Inspire operation. This would a totally waste for me for so many reasons. I have severe allergies to dust, mold and pollen. My nose would clog up. I wear BreathRight strips even with the CPAP. The CPAP through the filter and humidifier has kept my nose clear except when I get a cold. No dust enters my nose. I would breath through my mouth if I didn't have a device as I am still having issues with the full mask. With no mask all the Inspire operation would resolve is the Apnea. All my other problems would still be there. All and all what I have now is still a huge improvement over where I was before. If you are still waiting for your replacement hope yours arrives soon.

My part of the problem is I don't have a "provider" even though I have a diagnosis and prescription for a CPAP. I purchased two Phillips devices in a private sale. Both devices were low usage with minimal hours on the blower. Since I learned of the recall I did register both of them and now I'm waiting for what feels like ever.

That's not true. They don't tell you "when" you will get a replacement on that page. They just say by the end of 2022 - which now is less than a month away. Still no word from them. Just that my DME's been connected to the recall. Prioritization did nothing. It was just the shut the FDA up. Total BS by Phillips.

Hello, I have a question not sure if someone could help me out?. Anyways I was using a Philips CPAP machine only after 14 months of use I started having chest pain went to the ER more than once and was diagnosed with bronchitis and some other sickness I was given antibiotics and steroids yet this did not fix my Health issues. Eventually I went to my primary doctor told him about my symptoms and I was referred to a lung doctor, oncologist doctor and a cardiologist. Long story short at 38 years old I had to have first a heart stent a few months later I continued having chest pain and using the CPAP machine/every time I use the machine my lungs would hurt I would have dizzy spells during the day and headaches almost all day and night long. In addition to that I also have a small growth on my lungs I don’t know the doctors lingo but I believe I have a enlarged lymph note as well as something is wrong with my white blood cells not sure if it’s too much or not enough sorry. I have been fighting to try to receive my Social Security benefits/disability I have been unable to work since my heart issues well shall I say two or three months prior to my heart stent being placed I had my open heart surgery of May 2019 I have never been the same I have two small children boys that I cannot even play with or pick up I am on lots of medication including for depression this CPAP machine ruined my life. Is there anyone that can help me with information? My question below: I have already went to the Philips website and registered my machine also I received a letter from Philips about the recall I did not send my machine back honestly don’t even remember if they asked for it back? I did not want them to say I did not have it or pull some shady stuff on me. So my main question is what do I have to do to join the class action lawsuit I tried looking it up not sure but am I already included in the class action lawsuit? Or is there something I have to do? Please I beg of you can someone please help me? Honestly I am computer illiterate.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information on the law suits happening with Philips. Your best bet is online research or to ask your Dr what the best course of action is. I am sorry to hear that, there is a Priority questionnaire first, which rules out patients with major health issues. If you do not meet the criteria is way they may have not added you to the list.

It's awful. Insurance won't cover another, my patient has been in the hospital twice in a month because he hasn't been able to use this. Now the doctor is saying the risk of not using it is greater than the risk of the foam. It's absolutely unethical. His co2 retention is so bad he's having seizures.

Got the replacement used for 3 months and now got a "power supply error" and the machine won't work, I've tried everything!!!! HELP

Ensure the cable going into the power bar is fully in. Try unplugging your machine and re-plugging into another power source. Do not plug the unit on an extension cord or a power strip. I called them in December 2022. They said I should see it in the last week of December or in January. It’s March 2023 and I’m still waiting. Kind of getting the feeling I’m screwed. The problem is, I can’t even use it because it doesn’t work at all.

I’m concerned, this is the problem we are having. My husbands Cpap is not working as well as it should. He got it apx. 11 years ago. He can not get a new prescription at this time because we do not have insurance as I have recently left my employment with Department of Social Services. Upon investigating I discovered that this Cpap was recalled. I filled out the paperwork and got the message that it may not be replaced due to it being passed it’s warranty time of 5 years which we were unaware of and it wasn’t having issues 5 years in. I do not know what to do as he can not go through all of the testing etc again without insurance. Please help and give me advice if possible? I’m appreciative of any help you can give. Thank you very much!!

This is complete BS! I followed your link. Used the SN. Said it found my registration but then on the next page it said my registration has not been matched. I cannot even click on the prioritize button as it is in active. My husband has severe sleep apnea and cannot go without his cpap so he’s been using the recalled one every night. This is beyond wrong!

Hello Marci, My suggestion would be to contact your provider (where you bought the machine from) so they can link it to your registration. You can also call 1877-907-7508, this is the phone number to the Philips registration line, you can advise them who your DME provider is.

So are machines that being sent out just refurbished with new foam. My old works fine removed foam by drill 7/8 inch hole then resealed using 7/8 inch hole plug.

I’m sure I know the answer to this but can’t find the info on it. I have recently received my new cpap device from the recall last year and am wondering if my sleep 8 ozone cleaner is now ok to use with the new device or if we should never be using these sanitizing cleaners again? I spent $300 on this sleep 8 and only used it 3 weeks prior to the recall. Hoping that it can eventually be used again or if I’m likely just out that $?

Hello Candice, Ozone if not handled properly can be quite dangerous to ones health, especially for those who have underlying health issues (cardio, neuro, and respiratory). My suggestion would be to not set it up to the CPAP and you can use it with your supplies but ensure the supplies get a good wash after. Again the Cleaning machines are not meant to eliminate the traditional soap and water way, the clean equipment is an added step for cleanliness. My device was registered in 2021 and I just called the update phone number and they just said when it's my turn to receive my machine my supplier will get it to me. This is absolute crap, so I use this machine and risk cancer? Then I contact a lawyer and sue them for millions or don't use the machine and possibly die from heart disease?

There was no prioritization questionnaire as mentioned in your video. So after listening to your video and going through the whole process of filling as much information as I could, there was no prioritization form to fill out. Why give us information that isn't followed through on? This has been a very frustrating process for a problem I didn't cause. Please give us information that is true.

The registry for priority entering Birth date IS terrible, It times out before you can get the info it. I spent close to an hour to succeed.

prioritized recall doesn't do anything. been a year and they haven't even moved past the first step of just acknowledging my machine is registered.

I would suggest contacting your supplier as they may not have filled out the DME match form and provided Philips with your CPAP pressures. You can also contact Philips to see if they can assist you further if your provider is not willing to help 1877 907 7508.

i went to the page entered my confirmation code or my serial number and it takes me to another page where they ask me for my last name, zip code and las 4 digits of my phone number but it all ways gets stuck as if it didnt recognize them.

Horrible replacement. I received the DreamStation and found it to be inferior. I tried for two nights to sleep with this replacement device and found it to be noisy, a constant humming from the headpiece due to pressures even after adjustments were made. My old machine is quiet, zero noise. The construction feels cheap, lighter weight, cheaper and thinner plastic. The outlet is on the rear vs the side unless you use the humidifier. It is a refurbished machine that has seen better days, scratches everywhere, the screen has so many scratches that it blurs the presentation. Philips wants the old machine back, they will get their replacement back.

No, you cannot add prioritization. Untrue. I have tried. I AM a priority, but I was never asked and there is no vehicle to prioritize. There are more than 15,000 machines effected. biPap is much more important and higher risk, not C-Pap. Only the cheaper and less important C-Pap machines are being replaced. I guess the rest of are expected to die and get off their list. I have been waiting 21 months since registration and I can get nowhere. I haven't heard a thing. I know plenty of people with C-Paps that got new machines last year. The Manage Your Recal page does not come up. Today is December 7, 2022 and I do not have a machine.

Philips will not ask you to return you CPAP without providing you with an already repaired unit or a replacement. I have been waiting for months on end to hear from Phillips about my rebuild or replacement. I got a crappy email from them offering me $50 for my machine which was in exemplary condition. Phillips is a scam

Using chrome on my Android phone, your website shows no such link. I'm so tired of all the BS surrounding this recall! If you didn't set this up for access with mobile phones you should say that. What a waste of time!

Good God.... Have long Covid respiratory problem since Oct. 2020... Using this CPAP machine... talk about double-edged sword... Fix the machines and get them distributed already.
