WOW! This review is exactly the same as what I've heard and felt from SHP9600.

I find it annoying when reviewers compare the sound with headphones that cost £200+ , buddy there’s a reason I’m not fishing in that lake just stick to the lane we are in!

This was my first pair of "modern" budget friendly headphones after many years of you guessed it, Beats lol. Latest pair were the Beats Studio Pro which aren't as bassy as the Studio 3's. Anyways I digress, the 9600's were a breath of fresh air literally for my ears but damn that bass just isn't there for me. I tried EQ'ing these and get just a smidge better results but after 3 weeks of these, I bought the Meze 99's which is probably going to be a completely different soundstage, and just waiting on them to get to me. I'm also thinking about buying the Drop Sennheiser 6xx to go back to that open back airy sound that I love about the 9600's but worry about it's lack of bass as well. Great review! You are really cool 😎

Thanks for the great review, I wanted to buy these headphones too, but in the end I decided on the Sennheiser HD 569, among other things, you have an interesting voice, like Three Dog from Galaxy News Radio in Fallout 3 :D

I put the shp9500 pads on the shp9600. Sound is much better. Clear, balanced sound. With good seaperation and balance. Those deeper pads make shp9600 more bassy and bloated. Enjoying the shp9600 much more. My movies sound wonderful.
@truth-12345.2 жыл бұрын
I have one, how do you replace those pads?
@opiekrumpus41822 жыл бұрын
@@truth-12345. Remove the pads from 9600. They are snap on pads remove easy. Take pads off the 9500 and super glue on to 9600. Notches are in different position on 9600 pads. Thats is reason for glueing tbe pro0's pads on to 9600 headphones.

@@opiekrumpus4182 Isn't it too risky?
@opiekrumpus41822 жыл бұрын
@@truth-12345. I have done it no problem. I use just a drop of glue so i can pull of the pads from the 9600 if i want. Sound is better. More balanced.

Been using the SHP 9600 for a few months now, love the sound quality it BUT! 2 things i hate. 1. The build quality, because it feels so flimsy, especially how the cups seem to rotate on just 2 tiny swivels. 2. The redesign. It just looks so ugly to me, compared to the nice industrial look of the 9500's.

The sound is so meh, I'm guessing the x3 will sound like its big brother. The fit/comfort is so good though, no clamp pressure at all. This review sealed it. I'm returning it.

Soo the 9600 are 86 bucks now should I buy it or wait to see if the fidelio 2xhr go to that price or 100 bucks? Because I am very sensitive to treble and sometimes hard bass too and I want a headphone that sounds really smooth without loosing detail tyat when I hear them I can relax while still having details and a really good open soundstage. The shp9600 really conviced me but I dont want sharp treble or hard bass I just want a balanced sound signature with enough vividness, life, detail and bass to enjoy. I will like a sound signature like fiil t1xs tws but in a big headphone , with big sounstage

@@chuckolatte600 what makes u say that?

@@apricotdinko5515 I'd still prefer the more analytical sound of the SHP9500 over the 9600. They'll let you hear footsteps better in competitive gaming and sound a little more open.

I bought the 9500 after watching few of your videos and few others youtuber... Sacrifice the bass with the 9500 but satisfied with other range...

HD58X Jubilee, for starters (you can find them used for around $130-140). I'll be doing some comparisons to other cans soon, so stick around!

For $200, the only reason you should buy the hd560 is if that's EXACTLY the sound signature you're looking for. Otherwise, there are better choices out there.

OK I did buy a pair and have had for three weeks, I can't seem to stop listening to them, they are my first open back headphines and now I get the fuss. Now I really like them although the sound is a little grainy but I got for 85 bucks on Amazon US and had shied TO UK where they were about the same price as the 2hr's. So either you are a very nasty spiteful reviewer nor I am I. For a real treat when I get some open back headphines that are of decent quality 😁 I am looking at the Sennheiser hd6xx first and then the hifiman Sundaras next at the moment.
@adrianmorrish84943 жыл бұрын
Should have said joking aside higher quality not better they are not a terrible headphone and would be great for people looking to invest at this price point.

Another marmite audio product then, individual views are a wonderful thing in many cases, I've got a pair on order, somewhere between all the reviews I will make up my own mind as the reviews are all over the place on these, ah well.
