I think they updated the firmware on the expertclean series so the pressure sensor is live on the app. If I have the app open it will tell me immediately if I am applying too much pressure real-time. Not as convenient as the brush itself lighting up, but still pretty cool! It’s the first time in 27 I look forward to brushing. Bluetooth tracking is really motivating to someone like me.

Actually there's a place to store the extra brush heads in the travel case. It could be better, but that's how I keep the extra brush heads.
@mcbigham3 жыл бұрын
At around 4:20 you mention not having a place to store additional brush heads. My 7500 that I bought off amazon 2 days ago for $100 has 2 places in the travel case that will hold 2 brush heads. I'm not sure if you overlooked that or if yours didn't come with that.
@ElectricTeeth3 жыл бұрын
That is a fair point. I think it depends on each person, but I don't think this is necessarily the most convenient place to store them. What I was trying to get at is that I like them being within very close reach. Sonicare have in the past had holders that fit to the charging stand and give a place to store brush heads. Oral-B quite often have these to. For me, I tend to have my travel case in a drawer as I don't use it all that frequently. So if I store them in the case, it is just a bit more effort to get to them.

Thank you for your very informative video! I got a deal with the same price for philips expertclean and oral b genius 8600 ? So what do you recommend of they have the same price ?
@ElectricTeeth3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah. Ultimately both are good brushes and clean the teeth well. I think they both have pros and cons. The Genius 8600 is more advanced in the smartphone app in some respects because of the position tracking that the Sonicare does not have. But this position tracking is fiddly and the ExpertClean comes with the charging case etc. If I had to pick, for me, I would likely edge to the Sonicare.

Can the travel charging case included with the Expertclean 7500 be used to charge other Sonicare brushes? I know it won’t charge DiamondClean and Prestige but what about 3000/4000/5000/6000 series? Thank you.

I have not tested all these different models in the case to be honest with you. Some might fit, but many won't be seated properly due to the subtle differences in the handle shape and size.

Hi, thank you so much for your videos and website! I just have a qquestion for you about your best electric toothbrush videos and how the UK on differs from the US in which one is the best overall... does it have to do with the price point between the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 and the Sonicare 4100? I'm currently in France and just would like to get your opinion on which one between those two is the best overall. It's such a hard chose and I've never tried an electric toothbrush before and since they are an investment I'm really trying to do my homework! thanx again !
@ElectricTeeth4 жыл бұрын
Hey. The differences between the UK and the USA are to do with prices and model availability. The closest thing to the UK/European Pro 2 2500 in the USA is the Oral-B Pro 1500 which has typically been quite a bit more expensive than the Sonicare ProtectiveClean 4100. We try to offer the 'best overall' considering features, price etc so this is why different recommendations occur. Prices are always subject to change, but I would suggest Pro 2 2500 from Oral-B. The French/European equivilant of the ProtectiveClean 4100 is the 4300. Same features, different box contents and price! In short, both models are great. They both clean well and both will be a massive step up in your oral care routine! Any more questions, just let me know.

@@ElectricTeeth Thank you so much for your quick and helpfull reply!!! I see that the ProtectiveClean 5100 is on sale on amazon for 70euros & I'm thinking I might go for this one instead of the Oral B Pro 2 2500 which i believe is 40 euros, due to the design and the fact that it works with vibrations and not in a rotative motion (I have a few friends who like the sonicare better), and it is more silent as you said. I just hope I am making the right choice, its hard to know when you don't have them side by side, but I also feel that I like creating a bit of movement with my brush and just resting the Oral B on each tooth for 5 seconds or so, I'm scared that I might get a little impatient! but still nervous about the purchase!!! If you have any thoughts between those two let me know ! Again thank you so much for your videos and taking the time to inform people about the best options out there, from what I see this is all your honest and educated opinion and it is greatly appreciated on my end!

Actually one more important question! I travel quite a bit from France to the US and is the charger for these brushs usb? or will i need to use a converter everytime (i guess unless i get the diamond clean that has the usb case), also I found the diamond clean 2019 version of it on sale on a UK site for 93 pounds that ships world wide but they say its the UK plug, would you be able to tell me if your UK wall sockets are the same as the french ones (two round holes horizontal in the wall). Thank you again so much!!!
@ElectricTeeth4 жыл бұрын
I understand your concerns about making the right decision. Honestly, don't overthink it. Just using an electric toothbrush with the right technique is going to deliver you those benefits. Based on what you have said, whilst I think the 5100 is perhaps more than you need, it is an excellent brush and at 70 euros you won't be paying more than you should for it. So I say go for it. 😀
@ElectricTeeth4 жыл бұрын
The charger that will come with the brush is a 2 pin EU charger and not a USB charger. The battery life can last as much as 5 weeks in the brush, so depending on how often you travel and for how long, you may not even need to take a charger with you. However, Sonicare charging stands do support global voltages (100-240) therefore you need just a plug adapter EU to USA if you were to take it. There are some companies who make USB charging stands for Sonicare brushes. They are usually less than 20 euros and do work. That is not a terrible price for the DiamondClean 2019 version, especially as this should come with a travel case that offers USB connectivity. This means the case will protect the brush, but also allow you to charge it inside via a USB cable, so in your situation it might be a good choice. I think the 5100 has some nice features, notably the brush head tracking, which the DiamondClean does not have. If you are pretty good at remembering to change your toothbrush/brush head then perhaps the DiamondClean is a choice to opt for. If not, I think the 5100 with some sort of solution to charge when you travel. The charging glass provided would have a 2 pin plug suitable for UK bathrooms, this is not the same as a 2 pin plug in France. Adapters don't really exist to convert these properly. Sorry if this is not to the point and telling you which to buy. Ultimately there are small differences between each and both clean the teeth equally well.

I have genius toothbrush and i used live tracking only one time. it's a tr'''. So it's not a downside. Genius has also very bright light so i cannot use it in the dark after eyes correction =)) This toothbrush has no light . It's a huge positive moment ! So actually no difference to diamond in a clearing performance . right ?
@ElectricTeeth4 жыл бұрын
Whilst technically the Oral-B and Sonicare toothbrushes clean differently, in practice the cleaning performance is really no different. Some will have their preferences, but they do the same job really.
@amadeusdd9654 жыл бұрын
@@ElectricTeeth I had only 2 types of oral b and soocas 3. The cheap one from oral b was so terrible that i didn't use it. Genius oral-b was better, but when i tried soocas i understood what good performance is. Philips has same technology as soocas and it's much better for me. The problem is that i can't understand where exactly diamondclear is better than expertclean in terms of performance, if i use Deep clean function on both.
