Vivienne didn't jump off the bridge. The police analysed the bridge railings and found that the railing had a continuous soft salty crust on it that had not been altered at any point. Also, That bridge would have had no traffic on it at all at that time of the morning, her car was found a fair way away from the bridge and the bridge itself is really long. If she was going to jump off she would have just stopped in the middle of the bridge and jumped. No one would have been around to stop her. The place where her car was found is more like a spot you'd leave your car if you were going to meet up with someone. (I know the area really well, I used to go surfing at Philip island every weekend). The other thing about this is that you can jump off it without dying. It's high but not massive & people have done it on a bet. The currents below are really strong though. I have no idea what happened but I reckon its unlikely that shed jumped off the bridge.

I'm so grateful that I have never been that in love with a person that I was willing to hurt someone outside of the relationship over them. I can see how one might hurt their partner in a fit of rage but to seek out and destroy your rival has to be a very dark place. I suppose in some cases it can be an act of desperation to preserve the life you have built. Especially if you feel that person can take away not only your partner but your home and maybe even your children.

Thanks for sharing this story! My grandparents have a holiday house at Phillip Island, so I've been going there all my life. I heard this story a few years ago, but none of my family had. We know this place so well, but not its dark side. I wholly encourage anyone travelling to Victoria to visit Phillip Island, particularly Cowes Thanks for giving this case the awareness it deserves. Edit: The bridge (known as the San Remo bridge) is only 12 metres high, the reason no one really attempts suicide on it is because it is easily survivable. It is 640 metres long, 1/3 of that length is sand and 1/3 shallow water. I see this as a terrible place to attempt suicide, but not a bad place to dump a body, if in the right area, and right time of day. Vivian's body could have been swept out into the ocean, (passing most of Phillip Islands East coast) if she entered the water at high tide, and was swept out with the receding tide. If she went in at low tide, she would have very likely been swept towards French island or San Remo beach. It's important to acknowledge Fergus is part of a very influential family in Phillip Island. I can see that the police may have turned a blind eye, or investigated the case with less scrutiny. his wounds were on his back and ear, which seems suspicious. He is currently deputy chair of the tourism board, he owned the grand Prix circuit (until 2006) which is a major tourism draw, particularly with the annual motogp.

A few things you left out: Vivian had her own car and never used the landcruiser which was the farm vehicle. She had no reason to drive it. A witness saw Fergus's landcruiser driving towards town with a motorbike on the back. Which was gone when the vehicle was found, only the hay bails (that i assume stopped the bike from sliding off) were left on. Vivian was a heavy smoker. She had parked at the base of the bridge but didnt take her smokes on her final walk up to the bridge. The bridge that as a local she knew that kids would jump off of it every summer for fun. I personally would be smoking my guts out on the way up there. Fergus was the last verified person to see Beth alive that night. Beths throat was cut the same way Fergus kills his sheep. Head pulled back, from behind and one deep cut across. Vivian never partook in that side of the business. So many, many other things i could add but just one more thing. Beth had ended things with Fergus days before. She had given 2 weeks notice to the penguin parade(that she had been working at all along as well as Fergus's farm. She had told her friends and the parade she was moving back to her home town back in Melbourne. She wasnt a Phillip Island local, she just was staying at her families holiday house. Theres an in-depth podcast by Vicky Petritis called "the vanishing of Vivian Cameron". One of the best podcasts ive listened to.

Kill one and it's obvious he did it. Kill the 2nd, and it's easy to frame Vivian as long as she's never found.
@raerae6422 Жыл бұрын
@A.J.2824 Just saw your comment. Fergus and Vivian's marriage was dead. With an eventual divorce Fergus would have to split his share of the family's land, house and assets with Vivian. All his financials would be sifted through by the lawyers, which its possible he was also trying to avoid. I cant remember his family's surname but they were one of the most prominent and prolific landholders on the island. Then there is child support to Vivian and/or battling it out in court which can get quite nasty and a lot of dirt can get exposed. Then there was the impending sale of the land where the Phillip Island Gran Prix circuit stands. Fergus, his brother and sister and the three spouses were getting $1 million each. No surprise who would get Vivian's $1 million? With Vivian gone he had a scapegoat for Beth's murd3r, gained $1 mil for the land, didnt have to divvy up any of the assets, no paying child support for the next 10 or more years, no having to deal with the ex-wife at all and she would take his secrets to the grave. But, hey, he could be totally innocent and Vivian killed Beth and disappeared without any trace of her alive or dead till this day. I think his motive for Beth was that he was scorned. I think i remember she broke it off two weeks before, had dated another guy and decided to move back to Melbourne but F wouldnt leave her alone. My gut says she also would have a lot of dirt on the family after working for the farm and being involved with F. Again, i could be wrong. Maybe he is squeaky clean.

I went to the penguin parade 6 years ago. It was really cool to see so many little penguins at the same time, but it was a little weird how commercialized it was (at least considering it’s a wildlife activity). I remember walking through a huge gift shop before getting to the boardwalk penguin viewing area. They sold popcorn and drinks like you were going to the movies. The parking lot had signs to check for penguins under your car before driving off. It made me think that there must have been some unfortunate accidents involving the penguins! 😧
@baconsarny-geddon82983 жыл бұрын
"It made me think that there must have been some unfortunate accidents involving the penguins!" I used to go to "the penguin parade" as a kid in the 80s, every time a relative visited from interstate or overseas, and back then it was just totally open and "wild west", do what you want- It was "commercialised" in the fact that all the shops sold t-shirts and key-rings, but the actual beach was just open and unsupervised; You'd just turn up and set up a picnic-blanket on the beach, and the penguins would waddle right over the blanket sometimes, on their way to the nests in the dunes. But the locals had dozens of stories, about tourists trying to wrap one of the "adorable, cute" penguins up in towel, and take it home for a pet (god knows WHY- the penguins may LOOK cute, but they absolutely reek of rotting fish, and they're not exactly "docile"- They're bitey af), trying to steal eggs or chicks, caving in burrows/nests, people setting their dogs onto the penguins, or dogs attacking while owners weren;t watching, penguin roadkill was fairly common, etc. It IS kinda sad, how it's all cordonned-off and such a sterilized, generic experience, now. But it was pretty neccessary, considering the volume of tourists, and how close it is to a city of 4 or 5 million.

You are not kidding about the size of the penguins. The Blue Penguin or Fairy Penguin is the smallest of the penguins. An adult probably stands about 12 inches high. The babies are just a small ball of fluff. They are really precious. My daughter lives close to Phillip Island so we got to see the parade whenever we’ve gone pre-COVID

The best thing is that penguins have no natural fear of humans. (That's a big part of their general cuteness.) As far as they're concerned, we're just weird two-legged animals and they'll go about their business right past us without a care. Maybe the penguin parade is *them* taking a walk to look at *us* ...
@sylviekins3 жыл бұрын
They are so amazing-so tiny but they go out to sea for huge distances. They also mate for life. There is a wonderful fairy penguin colony in Oamaru in NZ, very carefully controlled. When the divorce is over the man's infidelity the woman usually fights for the kids.

I think there is more to this case than meets the eye. The missing Beth DNA is very concerning, especially the fact that it appeared not to have been mixed with the wife's. The large "A" might have been to throw off the scent of the husband. His injury might not have been due to his wife, but dispatching the girlfriend, or assisting in some way. I'm also not completely convinced that she would relinquish custody of the kids so easily. It's also possible that she was distraught enough to do everything she is suspected of doing. It's really sad, either way.

If she was set up, why was she never found? If a person is setting someone up there usually is the intention that that person will be alive and face justice. It just doesn't make sense because her body was never found, hence you really don't know what happened to her. I don't know who else would have the motive to kill Beth but Vivien. Seems as if Fergus wanted to be with Beth and not his wife.

@@garmtpug I suppose killing someone you set up would ensure they cannot offer evidence of their innocence or the killer's guilt.

@Ishy This is my first time hearing of the case. A small community with a powerful family at the center compells one to wonder how thorough and honest the investigation was. I suspect Vivienne did do it. Curious if the timeline fits for her to have told Fergus what she did causing him to then kill her in anger and grief. Sounds very Lifetime movie of the week, I know...
@davybhoy2 жыл бұрын
Yep I tend to agree except, if not Vivienne then who killed Beth? Surely not Fergus.... I reckon it is a given that Vivienne was killed by the Camerons. It is hard to come up with any solution, even unlikely ones, that really fits all the evidence.

I would love to see an analysis of Silas Jayne. He went to prison for having his brother killed, but he is connected to several other disappearances and murders in the Chicago area, including a triple disappearance of three young women from a Lake Michigan Beach. He killed an entire flock of geese at the age of 8 because one of the geese had bitten him, so I would like to see his case discussed in the context of whether someone can be born a psychopath.

Hey, can you react to the Observe channel? He claims to conduct non verbal analysis to supernatural videos and criminology interviews. I know you made a video in 2019 about body language "experts," but I was curious about your reaction to his content?

I've never heard of this case. Why is that women, who have an affair are murdered, itd usually the man who starts,the affair. I wonder if Vivian, put an end to her own life. Thank you Dr Grande. Great analysis..it was informative, as watching a penguin parade.

Hello Dr. Grande, can you analyze the case of Christina grimmie the singer that was killed in 2016?

Was she the one who was killed by a fan? That was a sad case. ❤

They do a penguin parade at the zoo in my city, it used to be compulsory but now the penguins (quite rightly) get the option, so sometimes a "parade" is just a couple of extroverted penguins.

Can you do a video about the ship wreck the Batavia ????.and the story that unfolded after ship broke apart .. it is an interesting study of what can happen when bad people are in charge
@Heyitskrystal3 жыл бұрын
I’m betting it was the husband. He killed Vivian hid her body and killed the other woman to frame Vivian for the crime which would explain her disappearance. No way a woman that upset about leaving her husband would abandon her children.

That's what I thought too.

Except, he had a alibi. Like Dr Grande said, for him to have committed the murder, a whole bunch of people would have been lying to cover it up
@Heyitskrystal3 жыл бұрын
It was late at night they were likely asleep he could have slipped out and family will lie lie or make alibis seem stronger than they are out of love.
@davel70143 жыл бұрын
@@Heyitskrystal Could be, but what would be his motive? If they were going to get a divorce, and he was keeping the children, he would have been free to continue his relationship. Whereas, SHE definitely had a motive. Revenge!
@Heyitskrystal3 жыл бұрын
That’s his story we don’t know it’s true. It makes me think of the two Colorado teens that killed that girl. The boyfriend confessed he cheated and the GF would only forgive him if they killed her both had “alibis” because they snuck out offer their family was asleep. Maybe he double crossed her after wanted his kids and to be single and come out looking like the victim.
