I am considering making a video of the process if I do I'll be sure to link you to it! Thanks for al the inspiration!

It's not just that. I feel like over the years, Pat'ss and Geno's have both declined taste wise and don't fill up their cheesesteaks as much anymore. The only pro is that they're open 24/7. I first watched this when it came out. Im a meat lover for life but i felt he went way over board making this one. Now i watch it now i am excited. I spent months years with guga and iv grown to understand that the best parts of life are try news amazing foods. Use all your five senses through life and you wll never regret. The best way i know how. Food, it works with Taste, sight, smell, touch through the tongue(temperature and texture) and sound through a salt block, a granite block sizzling on you table while you essentially cook your steak yourself on your plate so you can cook the steak the way you want it. And now i want to make food in ways i never imagined. Coming home to cook gives me joy and purpose.

Years ago I was in Philly and took my wife and son to Pats, and Genos. Talk about out of the way. They are tucked away in a five way intersection of a rebounding neighborhood. Both sandwiches were great, and the people were wonderful to hand out with. I had several phillys at the station and they were awesome as well. Our week long taste test concluded that while all were a little different, they were all delicious. My advice is if you are in Philly, give up on the contest and try a few places and enjoy what you get!

Hey Guga! Next time you come up to Philly you should avoid the tourist traps and try literally anywhere else. My personal favorite spot is Jay's steak and hoagie joint!

The joint that used to by the Vet Stadium a white building, they Rocked also!

Angel and Chris need to be in ALLyour videos! You are amazing alone, but those two guys make your channel!
@MikeyC163 жыл бұрын
Of course your videos and food is ALWAYS incredible. The next time you make a Philly Cheesesteak, cook the ribeye SLOW, not 'super-high' like you did here. You do not want too much of a crust on the meat. It changes the texture and flavor.

Philly is my hometown and I've eaten at every cheesesteak place that we fight over...after watching this I'm finally convinced that there's a better steak out there

In Alaska I make cheese steak sandwiches, marinade the rib eye in thin slices for 3 hrs. Red Bell Pepper diced, White Onion diced, Palmor (sic) Green Pepper, sliced sauteed mushrooms. Cook peppers and onion together, mushrooms in a small pan, meat in its own pan. Toast your bun on the inside and the outside. Melt cheese onto the bun, gather it all up and there you have our type.

I’m Born and raised in philly. Pats, genos or tony Luke’s aren’t places philly residents go to to have a good cheese steaks! they are tourist traps and you don’t use French bread butter or cheese wiz 🤦🏾♀️
@anthonykluska40315 жыл бұрын
I am from philly and this is a legit cheese-steak. Thank you for actually doing it justice.

I prefer provolone on mine with cherry pepper relish when available. Still looks good, I might cook this at work.

Next time ditch the wiz. Anyone who says they eat a steak with wiz isn't from Philly. They are usually from the outskirts are not born here. American cheese or provolone.

I knew Pat's and Geno's are not well-received by locals, but I thought that the wiz was a Philly local thing. This info is redeeming to the people of Philly. I think that the wiz was worse than booing Santa, haha.
