@obliterator deathcon 4 I don't find that paprika has much of a spicy flavour
@jasonmccool4342
@jasonmccool4342 5 жыл бұрын
@obliterator deathcon 4 if you put a lot of anything in something, the flavour of it, increases. I'm just trying to say that paprika is one of the most mild spices, and certainly - in my experience anyway - wouldn't be one that people consider spicy, in that it doesn't have any heat, nor does it have an abundance of flavour. But I suppose it comes down to individual taste buds as well. And yes, paprika is one of those spices that works very well in huge quantities. I too put it in my fish mixture

LOVED and appreciated your comment about the egg wash. I always thought that was a wasted step ! I will pull my fish out of the freezer and put them in salted water as you suggested. I’m also going to make a blooming onion to go with it and veggies. I have a deep fat fryer so I’m going to use that. Thanks SO much ! I subscribed to your channel based on this video alone ! Thanks again !

That looks very very good but one thing.....never flatten your food it does make it carry a little more grease also a great thing my Mommie told me was that when u don't have paper towels sit them on a brown paper bag. And to keep them fully crisp sit the bag underneath a cooling take while the fish rest on it. They will stay extra crispy all the way around. Keep up the great work 😜😊🙃

I pretty much do the exact same thing with just one slight difference with the foil...I crinkle it up so it creates a "rack" type effect and allows the pieces to continue to drain and not steam each other up... well it works for me anyways. Looks SO GOOD!!! I don't use a egg wash either when it is most. I think it takes away from the natural taste of the the fish, chicken and pork chops. I love to cook more simply to not cover up the taste of your main course. I grew up in the rural South and was able to get fresh chicken, fish or pork chops. Never frozen and that makes a huge difference. But now a days that isn t the way things are. It's sad because it really makes a difference to how it taste.

Looks delicious! I can practically smell it from here and I am getting hungry. I need a cold beer to go with it. Thanks for the video PhillyBoyJay! I will definitely try it.

I think the egg wash is better if you like a thicker batter, & let it sit in remaining flour/cornmeal/bread crumbs in the fridge for a couple hours

I just used your technique and you are correct! Best way to fry fish. I had to use masa instead or corn meal, but it worked fine. Thank you!

 @Jay 617 Seems like he's cooking for all audiences. He is right. You don't need egg wash. However, if you like using egg wash, then have at it, but don't be shitting on dude talking about "nigga cookin for a white audience". You sound stupid and ignorant. Man just stfu and support his channel because you watched this video for a reason.

Beer batter is the best. The best green beer for cooking is BUDWIESER. Not good for drinking >> but good in cooking! Then a dry coating. I use these 2 the most. Yes equal amounts of flour and corn meal with your seasoning for a dry coating! YUM
