I swear one of the best things about this channel is how well he breaks down and explains things. Everything from how fish sense bait and why certain baits work the way they do to what to look for in the surf and whats happening below the surface to make those indicators visible. Now that the weather is beginning to warm up will you be posting any Ducati footage?

Next time make sure you keep a crab gauge with you to measure the crabs. My friend found out the hard way getting a $590 fine and a court date for not having one while targeting crabs. Also buy the metal ones as the plastic ones get warped over time. Very nice video and keep them coming!

Just a little suggestion, maybe you can try to cook the crabs on glowing charcoal instead of boiling water, you cracked the crabs open and it's losing all the flavor and sweetness of the meat in the water...
@kennethchang53046 жыл бұрын
Ryan Tsang but he cooked in in natural seawater and that gives the meat a sweet and salty flavor even though it’s boiled. If u boil it in normal water it’s gonna draw out the flavor so just cook in salt and regular water but the seawater is what makes it heavenly.
@elitem35 жыл бұрын
Cook it with tin foil and throw it on thr charcoal
@Broxty5 жыл бұрын
Wrong. If you cook it in ocean water it keeps it sweet and salty. If you use regular freshwater it will pull the flavours.

Man, with all those barnacles on the shells, those crab must have been packed with meat.
@res14926 жыл бұрын
Can you explain that comment please?
@christopherbiegel95536 жыл бұрын
If barnacles have had a chance to grow on the shell it means that it's been quite a while since the crab has molted. Crustaceans continue to fill their shell with meat until it is so full that they have to grow a new shell and molt. A brand new shell is going to be full of mostly water but a shell that is old and covered in barnacles, seaweed, etc is going to be packed with meat and will give you the best yield per crab.
@res14926 жыл бұрын
Ahhh, that makes sense now, thank you for explaining. How often do they molt, does it just depend on how much it has been eating?

You can get fined in CA if you get caught with crabs without a crab gauge. Rulers, measuring tape, sewing measuring tape, etc. aren't accurate. Shell out the extra $5, Daniel.
