Exactly. Started in '91 watched it all grow, evolve, innovate and melt minds. Deer Creek 2021 was probably the happiest and most creative I've heard the band so far. Trey's new guitar is fucking incredonle. Never heard artificial harmonics swirl around an amphitheatre into the void like that before. The only negative was the height of the amphitheatre wouldn't allow for CK5's whole rig and the lights remained stationary for the whole weekend. The Gorge is going to be close encounters world. They're the best. It's really that simple.

Wow. Best simple I’ve ever heard. And not one that would have even been possible or dreamed up in the 90s
@nicodemuschronos9622 жыл бұрын
Yeah, totally not possible back then. They are so expressive as musicians, this reflects all the years of experience on and off stage and goes places that simply didn't exist back then. Fucking stunning. And at 8 minutes went off the rails and never came back. For some reason it reminds me of YEM on Halloween 95 in Chicago.

People are going to be talking about this tour for years to come. This is the freakiest, craziest, deepest jam I've heard yet from this tour. Trey and Page almost can't stop laughing at the end, they're in such bliss. This plus Blaze On plus the incredible first set trio of Carini, Wolfman's, Sand plus WOTC, plus Harry Hood with its bluesy jam, plus the encore trio, make this a strong candidate for best show of tour. So glad to have been there.

@LudiCrust.3 жыл бұрын
Grateful Dead 1977 is the absolute pinnacle of improvised jamming. The music they played that year is among the most gorgeous music ever played especially any one of the Morning Dews they played. Sadly Jerry Garcia started smoking heroin and ruined his voice (& life) not long after. Thankfully the world gone to sh*t has inspired Phish to the point they’re playing their best music since the early 2000s.

I can agree, in the sense that the are the tightest, as in playing together sharp and crisp!? They sound polished while jamming. The dead can be another whole conversation about something equally good or better, but looser/relaxed in their jams
@wiltc4203 жыл бұрын
The dead seem to let the jams come to them, where phish seems to search for the with more intentions. Equally good with different attitude, ends up being a question of personal preference as to who did it better. Phish is still together doing it strong, so go! Now!!! There’re coming to your town, and you can usually find a miracle on a Sunday!!
