I’ve lived in Phoenix most of my life. There’s more to do but most publiclty is lazy and just says shopping and restaurants. Then go to Sedona or something. For the physically active, hiking can be beautiful in many spots, horseback riding at South Mountain, bike riding around Tempe Mill Ave, balloon rides, theater. But sadly not the most interesting city by itself as a vacation spot. If going to the Grand Canton in the winter, it’s worth spending a few days. If you want night clubs, definitely a big selection. I’m over drinking but if that’s your thing it may sway your decision.

Paul Tortora To be entirely honest, that is your opinion. Many people like the charm of travelling around the city to find the local attractions. It's OK if it's not your cup of tea, but there's no need to be so pretentious about it.
@paulft2729 жыл бұрын
Alma Martinez Okay that's fine, but, I wouldn't describe anything in Phx area as charming. Mill Ave in tempe used to be, but the chains came in and took over unfortunately.

Paul Tortora Well, to be fair, to many it's still a fun place to visit. It's not something awe-worthy like, say, Orlando or Las Vegas, but on a roadtrip it's a nice place to take a stop, there is a lot to see for those kinds of travels.

Well, living here for the past 7-8 years, I can assure you it’s not expensive as California. Extremely cheaper. However, right now the home markets are not that expensive so you can totally buy a 4 bed room 3 bath here for like a little more than a 100 grand. Groceries are cheap as well at Fry’s Food and Drug.. Gasoline $2.30 ~ish, and a gallon of milk is only a dollar and some tax.. In Cali a gallon of milk is almost 5 bucks!!!!!

"Where it is always warm" -- That is a false statement. Today (February 19, 2019), it is 35 F. Be warned. Phoenix winters are cold. The temperature rarely gets above 70 F during the Winter. If you want warm weather in the Winter, you need to visit Florida. In Lakeland, Florida, for example, it is 71 F right now. I do look forward to the triple digit temperature season (May through October), which is my favorite time of year.

Isn't it a shame that Phoenix, America's fifth largest city, doesn't have enough amenities to justify its own video. Expedia had to go outside the city limits to unaffordable boutiques in Scottsdale, pottery making in Mesa, and even the Grand Canyon because Phoenix, itself, has almost nothing worth mentioning. Oh well, I guess the Phoenix City Council just doesn't care. In fact, the city motto should be, "Culture? Who needs it?" But kudos to the Phoenix Art Museum. Although unimpressive on the outside, the art museum is wonderful inside.

it definitely has some tourists attractions but not enough to attract non americans to visit. Many Non americans come to experience the great american cultures found in LA, SF, NYC, Vegas etc, so these r their first come to mind destinations. For canadian and other major citie americans, they would also think of seattle, san diego, miami, denver. So i have a hard time imaging many non North american tourists would actually intentionally want to visit here for holiday. Im sorry phoenix, there r just too much competition in AMerica alone

It is cool but why does neighbors have to be so stupid. Also some people that keep staring even for acting normal. Like i go for walks and cars will stare at me to make me mad like what I did. Also when I am standing at the front of my house, drivers will suddenly stare at me for everything like if they are going to rob are home at night. There's also people that suddenly start to get angry and sometimes even yelling or sometimes getting in fights. Like why do people become so mean so fast. Also the hot weather annoys me like why does it have to be the only location with horrible 120° F? Hope it could be fixed some day.

Phoenix is big enough to make what you want out of it. Too bad everyone thinks tourists want to shop and eat 24/7. If you’re an active/outdoor person, it’s perfect if you’re escaping a cold winter. It also has a lot of clubs if drinking with phony people is your thing. Scottsdale clubs are full of people who have more money than brains, and posers galore. That interests people for some reason.
