Tips Paul shared for Canon DSLR - tips apply to all recent Canon models 1. Quick Access instead of Menu: Q-button - can be a timesaver 2. Drive and Self-timer Mode: button looks like a deck of cards 3. Live View Mode: Camera symbol on the button - see the image in real-time 4. Picture Style: Back and White shooting: Q-button - Picture Style -> Monochrome = Black + White 5. Memory Card: format and reformat card: Menu -> Tool Option. Thanks, Paul! You're a real Photo Genius!

Hey man. Great video. I am some what of a beginner at photography with the canon rebel t6. Have had it for just over a year but am still learning the many functions it is capable of. One thing you mentioned was that you can gets separate shutter remote that attaches to the side of the camera. But also one thing I learned shortly after getting the camera is that you can download a canon app to your phone and use that to operate the shutter wirelessly. It’s a great feature. It’s also great if you run out of space on your cameras SD card because you can download all your photos on the go and then format your card. The only down side is that most phones if not all phones will not down load any video you may have taken. So be careful there or you may lose you videos unless downloading to a laptop or something other then a phone. Just thought you may want to mention those things in another video if you haven’t already. Otherwise like I said Great video and learning tool you have created. I will be watching more of your videos to learn as much as I can. Thanks.

Thanks Ryan, I have discussed the app as an alternative to remotes in other videos. I've personally found the Canon app to be better than the Nikon when testing. Appreciate your feedback and thank you for watching and supporting my channel.

Alternatively, are there any devices which you can plug into the camera which will show you the image live on a larger screen for you to view if you were doing self portraits for example? I hope that makes sense

@photogenius5 жыл бұрын
You may be confused with the way the aperture works. The apertures in the lens and is always open, but you can adjust how far open it is and therefore how much light passes through the lens. This video might help : kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4WxoGehoKx9bNU The shutter controls how long you allow light to be captured : kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5u2dauaiLatoNU You can use a timer to delay your image being tan. Hope that helps. Paul @ Photo Genius.
