@SamhainBe3 жыл бұрын
@Master Of None "God's Word" - The Bible - yes, I do know. Job 12:7-10 speaks to us on this and in Genesis it tells us that God created all living things and while he may have given us dominion over the animals, He gave the animals hearts, lungs, brains, circulatory systems, the ability to reproduce, feel pain, comfort, and companionship just like man. The "spark" or "light" that is life instilled in us by God is also in the living creatures he provided for us. To deny this is to deny Creation itself.

There is no conscious decision in elephants who wake up one morning to become a killer or not. Even humans react with hormones.
@mikemesser43263 жыл бұрын
(maim, not mane - autocorrect?) I can understand the sentiment. After you've lived in all sorts of settings (rural, suburban, urban, native and foreign) and most places you live there is violence. Here is the trend - the more urban, the greater the odds of violence. Difference in beliefs (political or religious) the greater the odds of violence. Those differences can transcend the population density setting. One more thing. One false move anywhere close to one of those baby elephants - accidental or intentional won't matter - and those adult elephants will show you just how they can choose to maim or kill.

Anyway, all ended well.. the herd is safe, the visitors were safe! All was well that intriguing moment in the wild!
