Hello Hello Everybody!!! 😁 Man I don't normally like videos that are slower paced, but yours Adam are just so thoughtful and peaceful and I love the mood and tone you set. Serenity. The chaos of the forest and ferns and mosses somehow becomes something else when I watch Quiet Light videos. I grew up in Western Washington and I miss those evergreen forests from childhood. Thank you for the nostalgia that your art invokes.

You should get an award for the most friendliest greeting scenes here on youtube, Adam ;) I love your work on ~12:50 most - such an idyllic scenery. Interesting insights to your van as well. Unfortunately difficult here in Austria to use, as it's not allwowed to camp in most areas you want like in Canada. Bad, but I'm happy that it's allowed to photograph at least ;) Nice weekend, mate!

Close-ups of the rear stickers alone were worth the price of admission! I get so frustrated when I see the plethora of camper vans available in Europe. Here in North America we have a lack of small, readily available choices. Thomas has a great set-up. Great location and shots, enjoyed the video.

Another absolutely terrific video, and coming from relatively nearby, you're perspective on mossy trees offered another immensely useful lesson. You're images take what I see everyday and transferred them to art. It's good to be reminded of what is possible in the hands of a master. Thank you, Adam.

Adam, you can get all the materials you need to convert your van into a Camper from your local hardware store. If you can find someone local who does home improvements, they can do it for you. It doesn't have to be a coach builder, the only vehicle tech you need is an auto electrician to fit your lights etc and make sure your van can handle it safely. Insulation, plywood, MDF, 1x1 timber, handles, hinges and fasteners are all readily available, you just need a carpenter.

Hey, time to go back to the horse and buggy! We're converting a Ford Transit to a camper (ourselves); quite the project but will be amazing. Nice shots, especially the one with the snaggy bigleaf (the first one). As for the first image along the river...I prefer your 2019 version with the snaggy whitish branches. Adam, always the enlightened pragmatist. From your choice of vans and gear to the subtle editing techniques you use it all appears so logical and easy... but it ain't. In the last 15 or so years off road vans have given way to mini-vans, cargo vans or SUVs. The first car maker that comes out with a basic cargo van (Think Contractors) with all 4-wheel drive and ground clearance will get my money.

I found that if you just leave the lens at f16, you can shoot almost anything in the landscape with a medium format sensor and everything will be tack sharp. The mossy forests there look like our Atlantic oak woods near Strontian in Ardnamurchan, Scotland, the place name after which the element Strontium gets its name. I really enjoy your forest work - finding order from chaos. Thanks for sleeping rough in your van and making these videos.

The secret to Westfalia reliability (and happy ownership) is a Subaru engine conversion. Better power, much better gas mileage, and much much more reliable. You can even find synchro versions with four-wheel drive and better ground clearance, although they are getting pretty pricey now.

Hello again Adam. Beautiful shots of the moss laden maples!! It's nice to see the ferns in your area seem to be doing well. Drought and disease are taking a toll on what we have here in eastern Oregon. Also love your bumper stickers! Finding camping vehicles in your configuration is a problem here also unless you go full custom build ($$$). I am on the other end of the agility stick with a monster (F350) which we pull a 5th wheel camper with. (We're in the state park camp host program with Oregon and Idaho). Makes for more expensive travel (and sometimes limits were you can get into) but I can essentially take my living quarters with me. I'm sure you have seen Thomas Heaton's camper van. It seams interesting but I'm sure here in the States the sticker shock would be an issue also! Again love the photos - take care. Bob

Hi Adam, recently I've been struggling and being rather discouraged/disappointed about getting my landscape images in focus. I've finally just decided to focus on infinity using a wide-angle lens and take an image and then, just in case, focus on the nearest part of the image and then merge them in lightroom/photoshop. I'm wondering if you could include your focusing strategy with your photography KZbin mini-adventures.

Beautiful photos. I definitely want to visit that area within the next few years. Have you considered a truck camper? Finding a truck to suit your needs will be much easier than finding a van like you want, and you can easily take the camper off when you aren't using it. There are enough designs out there that something is bound to be suitable and economical, especially if you don't mind a used one. There are even low profile, pop up, versions with hard or soft sides.

pontiac made a smallish suv during the 90's called an aztec, that featured a camping setup from the factory i believe. i don't think that would chew up too much fuel, it would still give you good ground clearance, and would have the camping gear built in.

Hey Adam, I've really been enjoying your videos. A lot of great tips and ideas and food for thought. If I had my dream vehicle for landscape photography, I think it would be a Mercedes Sprinter or a Toyota Land Cruiser pulling a Sherpa trailer. But, I find myself driving around in my rusty 1992 Subaru Loyale wagon. I can sleep in the back comfortably and it has 4 wheel drive. Very reliable and inexpensive to repair and operate. I drool whenever I see a Sprinter. I don't make a lot of money, so when I have extra cash I spend it on a lens or other camera accessories. Thanks for your inspirational videos!

Exactly my thoughts on a campervan: small, economical, 4WD. It seems that there is no available option. I'm using a Toyota Prado SWB which meets those criteria, but is very small inside. I would love the new VW synchro California, but not at the price asked.

Will Pura Vida vans out of Squamish work on your van, or do they only do more late-model conversions? There’s also a place in Kamloops, but I think they are more into the big trucks and cargo van conversions. There are a couple of places in the central Okanagan that actually build RVs, maybe they can do conversions as well.

Hi Adam. Earlier this week I went up Derwent valley in Derbyshire, England, to photograph a mossy tree I had spotted a couple of weeks earlier. The tree was next to a mossy wall which really enhanced the composition. The real difficulty I had was finding a composition. The background was really busy, from all angles, and the sky was pushing the histogram. I took a few images, but Im not altogether happy with the compositions. I know trees are a difficult subject. But the images you took were beautiful. Was that due to a lot of work in post? Love your channel. Kindest regards. Robert
