Why not fix the App so when you click on the red pin it moves a bit more so you can see the whole pin?

simple fix - change the interface so that the pin bottom shows when moving the red pin with a long press on the pin top

maybe that could also be changed in a future release so that it's always working as in your proposed solution (even when the pin head was long pressed)
Thank you. I was wondering why sometimes I could pick up the pin and put it right where I wanted, and other times I struggled. 😅

Thank you very much for that hint. One question: Could you make the Photo Pills screen bigger and your face smaller 😊. I really like seeing you, but I prefer to see better what you are doing with photo pills. Thank you.

Thanks for this important hint, I had also been struggling with the problem that the end of the line was hidden. But I have yet another question. When placing the red pin on a bridge, it seemed to me that Photopills indicated the altitude above sea level with respect to the river below and disregarded the height of the bridge. When planning a shooting of the moon with a specific elevation, it would of course be important to get the true altitude of the bridge. I helped myself by reading the height of the river bank at the end of the bridge and then correcting the height of the red pin manually. But I wouldn't be surprised if there was a more elegant solution ;-)... Thanks a lot for the amazing and extremely helpful app which you provide including all the teaching material, it is spectacular!

Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. As you mention, you can tap on More (bottom right) > Altitudes to adjust the altitude manually. It'd be ideal to have all building heights... work in progress...

Is there a way to type in map coordinates or a location like postcode/zip code too? Sometimes it’s very difficult to find the spot I’m looking for. And is there a way to save locations too? And finally, a feature request, could you add a forecast section where one can see the stargazing conditions for the next couple of days? I currently use scope nights but it’d be cool to have it all in one place. Thanks for the great work!

Love the advice, thank you very much. I was wondering why the shadow feature is applied to the red pin and not the black one. Why should i care what my shadow is? How do i use this feature to my advantage. Thank you very much. LOVE LOVE LOVE the PhotoPills app.

What is the best way to move the red pin several hundred miles or across the country? Do I have to zoom out and move it close, then zoom in and refine?
@susaschweder66852 ай бұрын
You just open the map where you want to place the red pin and there you just press your finger longer on the point where you want to place it and the red pin will automatically appear there (at least it does with my android)

Long press on the map or use the Load button (at the bottom) and use the Search bar to find locations :)

The mistake is already in the UI. It's not intuitive, to pick the pin-point instead of the head. As others suggested - the needle could jump higher, if you press the head...
