Right now I am struggling to find a job in the animation field. I’m in a dry zone where animations jobs just don’t exist. So I figured that I could do illustrations or graphic design, something like that and something remote. But I find that the 4 years I spent in school haven’t taught me anything in photoshop when I see art like this. This is incredible are Mr. Blaise and I am in awe at your art. The time you’ve spent at Disney animating and directing are inspirational to me. I can only hope that I can one day fill a role such as that. I am a little discouraged that I don’t have the necessary skills to find a job in my field, but I’m also hopeful, because I’ve been working diligently in Photoshop and Illustrator for the past couple of weeks learning what I can about the programs and improving my drawing skills and techniques. I don’t know if you have a video talking about this, but do you think you could share with us the types of skills animation studios are looking for? Personally I would like to be a storyboard artist to write stories and such. But I’m also interested in what normal animators need to succeed.
