Your eyes look like they’ve not had surgery - Which is a huge compliment! More skin off might have given you that weird stare some people get after this surgery. You know they’ve had something done because something looks ‘off’

Thank you! The surgeon I chose is known for making it look like you haven’t had surgery, natural results, with no complications. I’m truly grateful to not have any issues with dry eye or my eyes not closing all the way or looking off/ uncanny valley.

Hey, love. I’m having blepharoptosis repair soon and went hunting for your video to watch again bc you’re so reassuring. I have a major phobia about surgery and my eyes, so I’ve been dealing with it by watching surgeries. lol. I feel confident in my doctor and for me, it’s also medically necessary (not that cosmetic isn’t entirely valid for doing it; it is) so I could back out but my vision is impaired. Trying to figure out how to communicate what I hope for in the outcome. ❤❤❤

I would recommend taking photos of eyes you like or if you have photos of you in eye lid tape that you like to help get the results that will make you happy. Wishing you the best with your surgery!

I am so sorry the doctors made you feel uncomfortable I think your eyes look great and I am glad you have become more comfortable with the surgery over time

I had to have this surgery done because my hoods were obstructing my vision. In the initial assessment, the doctor determined I needed a brow lift as well to really make a difference for my vision. The insurance paid for it all. They eyelid surgery part didn't really leave me with pain; but the browlift was not so much fun. I would say, my true results didn't show until maybe a year after. It all took quite a while to completely heal.

Thank you for sharing about the brow lift and your pain levels with eye surgery. And yes, healing time can vary wildly. It's crazy to me how some of the surgeries take a year to see the final results.

You look gorgeous! I wish nothing but good health and for your days to be filled with love and joy! 💜 I read you were doing yoga. I plan on doing the same after I get a bit better after chemo (I'm still weak even it's been 4 months since the last one).

I hope you feel better soon! Yes I’m doing yoga to recover my strength, stamina, and flexibility. My body has been mad after a year of very little activity other than walking.

Thanks for sharing this, Cordelia! I think this surgery may be coming up in my future because my lids will probably start to affect my sight. I'm glad to hear your healing is progressing well after your other surgeries 💜

Your eyes look fantastic. I am glad you are happy with the results. I got worried when you said you weren't at first. Good to know the healing process wasn't too terrible as well, because those post-op eyes looked soooo painful. :(

I swear the post op eyes look more painful than they felt. But it wasn't bad at all. And thank you!

Thanks! Saved it so will watch later. It’ll be my turn in the future by the looks of it, as it has started to affect my eye sight, and with genetics at play too. (So it should be covered by the government, the perks of Norwegian health care)

That's amazing! I am so envious of the Nordic countries and how they actually care about their citizens unlike the USA.

I tell you, if my kids were not in the US we would move overseas in a heartbeat. US healthcare is just abysmal.😭

I'm so happy this worked well for you! I can see the difference since I've followed you forever. But you look great (you have always been beautiful!) My grandmother needed this surgery due to age, and I may need to follow in her footsteps lol. A gentle comment...I also have several chronic health conditions. Don't downplay how you react to people. Sometimes we don't have a choice. But if you feel something is off, trust your gut. I had a Dr that was SO awful I dissociated right there as she did a breast exam (I had found a lump, it was benign). I refused to go back. Thank you for always sharing your experiences!

Thank you for your kind words. I definitely had a personality clash and I’m glad it didn’t affect my results. I always take Dave or a friend with me to these appointments so I feel safe and heard.

You're very welcome! I've received a lot of questions about this surgery and my double mastectomy and the reconstructions I've had. I'm still healing from those so not quite ready to make a video about it.

My mom had this surgery. Unfortunately her surgeon was not as good as yours and she ended up with floppier eyelids than she started with (meaning her vision is actually partially blocked). Mine fortunately aren't in my way.
@Phyrra

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. That was part of why I went with the surgeon I did, seeing her results on others.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I have a couple aunts who've had blepharoplasty. They were able to get insurance to cover it because it was causing vision issues---throwing that out there mostly for anyone considering it but worried about cost. I hate the idea of getting surgery, but having hooded eyes similar eyes to that side of my family, I know it's something I may have to consider in another decade or so. I also have chronic dry eye, which makes it a bit more concerning. Eyes! They're so complicated! How long was it before you were allowed to wear eye makeup again?

I think it was about 6-8 weeks for eye makeup. I’ve got extra sensitive skin so I went slow.

would it have even been possible to get the eyelid tape look? did you ever get lipo on your neck/chin, if so was that painful?
@Phyrra
@Phyrra 3 ай бұрын
I think it may have been possible if I had asked initially, but even then, I'm not sure, because the plastic surgeon emphasized several times she was conservative on the amount of skin that she would remove. After seeing a friend's mom who had hers botched, I was extremely grateful that I chose to follow the plastic surgeon's advice. No, I've only had liposuction for fat grafting (in January) and they only took fat from my stomach and sides, nowhere else on my body. Any time my weight fluctuates you can see it in my face, because right now it's pretty puffy. I only did the fat grafting because they said it would make my breasts look more natural and it does. It does look better than the initial surgery.
