I was diagnosed w/TOS several years ago. Dr at the time suggested I have my first rib removed. I declined. Because I’ve left it untreated for so long I’m Now Finding it’s increasingly difficult to relieve the intense numbness and pain in my hands, palms & arms. Effects my sleep waking me 4-5 times a night because the numbness is so intense and my daily life. It’s hard to use your hands when they are so numb and hurt so bad from the numbness. It’s my entire hand on both sides, my palms. When I first wake up it’s REAL bad, I used to be able to move around & the symptoms would subside some. Now I just can’t get it to subside no matter what I do. I can’t use my hands normally after waking up and for a large part of the morning. Have to stop whatever I’m doing because I’m unable to hold, grab to do much due to the pain & numbness

I had this pain for about three months in my left shoulder all the way my left arm and three fingers. Whenever I did overhead tricep movements or just a little jogging, the pain went up drastically. Then I stumbled upon John Gibbon (DO) dr of osteopath on KZbin. He had a patient with the same symptoms I had. My glutes max and medius not firing properly on one side. The pain went away immediately after glutes activation and strengthening by back extension exercises. I thought to share my experience.

@@basil_twinky I binged watch all his videos on glutes, hips, shoulders and legs. Then I bought John Gibbons the Vital Glutes book. Hope that’ll help.

I'm actually going through this at the moment. I'm having pain on my left shoulder that radiates to my neck n goes down to my arm. I get muscle spasms between shoulder n neck. I feel tingly n numbness on hand n two fingers. and my arms feels restless n turns my arm n hand a purplish color. .it's messing with arm circulation. I've been getting therapy for this. But I don't know if they're treating this right ,cus they gave me a deep tissue massage, right where the problem is at. And I was in horrible pain for 2 days 😞 I'm pretty worried about this pain , cus the pain goes into chest and on my collar bone. if I try lifting my arm up .. I can't. it feels like something is pulling and pain goes from my shoulder down to my arm n hand.. and into my armpit. it's like I'm trying to do the exercises that they've told me, but if I'm having minimum discomfort at the moment.. as soon as I start moving my around, up or down , I can't cus I can't raise my arm that high and then the pain starts shooting up n getting muscle spasms throughout the rest of the day. it hurts to even get up from a chair, out of bed 😫😫😫

@@RehabRevive i think I have that (thoracic outlet syndrome) and when I feel poor I help myself by balancing my arms on my sides while carrying a 6 liters' pack of water bottles (carrying with my hands, sorry my english is far from perfect). I'm mentioning it for the just in case poor people would come here in search of a solution

As someone who's had TOS on and off for the last 8 years, I can assure everyone that the best way to treat TOS is to not get TOS.
