...thank you for the objective look at what an initial assessment looks like. So, so needed that, because what I've read for our first module is TOO broad. (Intro to PT.)

liftforchange Make a video on documentation examples & what insurance companies accept & don’t. Biggest things are examples ultimately.
@drjustinleedpt5 жыл бұрын
@@Artdigitalmarketingcity I can try to answer that one. That is a hard one to answer because I am not working full-time, so I am not 100% sure what insurance companies will accept or not. I am also confused what you are asking.. Are you asking for documentation examples of what insurance will accept/deny? like medicare, billing, coding?
@Artdigitalmarketingcity5 жыл бұрын
liftforchange I understand you are doing your rotations. What I am asking are templates to documentation essentially. And new question would be top 5 interventions for patients that finished Total hip or knee replacement.

Can you please describe or show a blank Eval paperwork ? Im curious (per insurance of course differences) how lengthy the process.
@drjustinleedpt4 жыл бұрын
Andrew Rivera that might be a little tricky to do, but I will definitely see what I can think of. I’ll be starting my actual PT job soon so I’m sure I’ll be able to take an eval and describe it to y’all

Hi, You’re extremely good. I wish to get accepted to the PT masters and become like you. :) Your videos are very inspirational. Thanks for doing this. I’d like to suggest to make muscles and joints palpation vidéos. I think I have a hard time understanding how to grab the muscle or how to rotate a hip joint for instance. Or it might be out of fear. I am sure that they’ll teach us in the masters. But I really appreciate if you share your knowledge and expertise. Thanks 🙏🏻 Mélody from Canada

for the treatment process when it comes to chronic pain something a little less intentional how would you address an on going pain in a person's shoulders is there any solution/s? Vs. having pain in my feet because i hypnotically fell which caused me to twist my ankle it would be a little more obvious to know where the bones snatched only because i intentionally did it let me know would it be possible if you made a video just talking about chronic pain? pain that just suddenly comes out of no where
@drjustinleedpt3 жыл бұрын
I did not make a video on chronic pain. But that’s a good video topic! Well the research shows that once you sprain your ankle, your chances of re-spraining it again are higher and higher. When it comes to your shoulders, I would assess your shoulders to see where the problem is. Is it the muscle? The joint? A lack of coordination? Maybe it’s other tight muscles that are pulling on your shoulder. Hard to say without a proper assessment

How long is therapy evaluation is it an hr or more?
@drjustinleedpt3 жыл бұрын
It depends on where you work and how much time they give you. Sometimes I can be as short as 15 minutes because that’s the only time you have. Sometimes it’s an hour. Where I work was 1 hour for an evaluation.
@kevjumbaz Жыл бұрын
seems like this is only accurate for MSK physio specialty. what about cardiopulm and neuro? very different context. also during review patient usually comes in and says "oh i havent been doing my exercises and my pain is still there" rather than the pain has been reduced 😂
@drjustinleedpt Жыл бұрын
Super insightful Kevjumbaz! You’re absolutely right. This is MSK focused. I would disagree with the exercise compliance part though. I think it all depends on how the PT communicates the importance of HEP and if patients respect the clinician enough to do the exercises. In my practice, I emphasize homework and discuss the value that it brings. 9/10 times patients come into my sessions asking questions about the homework and winding if they are doing it correctly, which tells me they are in fact doing them.
