This is a good video, thank you. May I suggest, in performing these motions that the patient lead with their eye gaze, in order to engage the complete physiological chain of motion.

Thank you guys for your amazing work on this channel! Do you know if there is any study that shows if the SNAGs are effectively moving C1-C2 (maybe with dynamic X-ray) ? I'm just wondering if the belt can transmit the right amount of force in the good direction or if the mobilization is not so specific. Thank you for you answer!
@Physiotutors5 жыл бұрын
Happy you like the channel! Not aware of any studies. With the rotations we can imagine that they are relatively specific considering that there is not much rotation possible on C0-C1 and C2-C3. With the anterior and posterior glides, there will certainly be movement of C2-C3 segments. Regarding to the general evidence around MT we don't think it is highly important to be very specific for the mobilizations to be effective.

It looks a great exercise. Before I try it I would like to clarify something. I could not understand if your head moves against the belt in a resistance way or if the head should be completely relaxed and acting more like a stretch movement.

Great video guys. Regarding sets and reps does the literature provide specific allocation or is it directed at the patient level of function?

Doing this exercise started my neck issues that I have now been dealing with for 12 years... Is it possible that I did the exercise incorrectly and it caused hyper-mobility?

Is this manipulation good even when cervical instability is present?
You don't need the belt. Use your hands. You will need to be very diligent with chin tucks. Hard core chin tucks till you move c-1/2. Result will be LockJaw for about 5 minutes. Then your body has to heal. People are left dislocated all the time. Traction will be needed for serious dislocations.

I have cervical vertigo coming from the upper neck. I tried these movements and it set off a terrible vertigo reaction that lasted for 12 hours or so. Any suggestions on how to incorporate snag if it causes symptoms? Symptoms were not noticed during the movement, but started about 5 minutes after. Should I be starting with something else? I am already seeing a muscle therapist, chiropractor and receiving vestibular rehabilitation. Thanks!!!
