in this episode I discuss phytonicides, the beneficial constituents produced by trees and plants.
these constituents(VOC's) are essentially the immune system of botanical life, which also act as an up regulator of our immune systems,in a symbiotic relationship.

Hello my friend I havent ran accross anything sasquatch related in the woods worth documenting in awhile now. I do sense something around out there from time to time, especially when the woods fall silent. Anything presents itself,I will definitely document it. The entire area that im in is a hot spot. Im south of clipper mills, same mountain range where all the sasquatch howls were recorded. Bill

@@lanceandmelanierogers6255 I have not, someone purchased the property and have closed off the trail leading in to it. My eyes and ears are always open for anything unusual. Im shooting in 1080p now,so my video quality is much better. Im probably going to set up a few trail cams this upcoming year ,see what they might catch. There's a natural pool /water source down the hill behind my camp. Might set one up there. Also planning a few overnighters this upcoming year as well. Bill

You know that old saying… “Don’t lose sight of the forest for the trees” I think they were wrong and didn’t know about phytonicides. You said you studied botanicals. Maybe you know this. I thought I became immune to poison Ivy because I haven’t gotten it in years, until last summer. If I rub pine tar or pine sap on my skin… do you think my pores will be clogged enough to not allow the urushiol to react with my skin? I might try it one day… been thinking about this for a while. Thanks Bill. I believe what you said. I never had a bad day after spending my day in the woods. I heard you can use lavender or rosemary oil to keep the tics and bugs at bay.

Pine sap would probably work but would be very sticky. The essential oils of lavender, rosemary among others do work. I shot an episode last year on vics vaporub as an insect repellent and accelerant for fire making and it worked great. Thanks for watching brother. Bill

@@palehorsesurvivalandtactic9771 thanks for the tip 👍 That vics vapor rub idea is pretty legit. Multiple use item. Fire starter, bug repellent and i dunno about other people but when I smell that stuff it kinda gives me a jolt of energy. Definitely adding it to the bag.

@@yannickm6999 You're welcome. It worked great as a bug repellent for me and is amazingly flammable as an accelerant. Its also antifungal, antibacterial and analgesic topically. Definitely worth carrying in the ruck.
