Who benifits the most if a person falls sick? Its the hospitals right. I argue that doctors should not do nutrition research until they are not affiliated to any hospitals and we need researchers doing the work and directly communicating with us.

People dont get what a lot of vegetables mean. Eat 3 servings 3*200 grams of different mix of colored veggies and greens are must. 2 servings of fruites 3 servings of beans (preferable dal with shell) with every meals along with whole grains like brown rice etc. half of your plate should be filled with veggies and fruites! Quarter with dal or beans and quarter with grains. Eat mushrooms theice a week if available. Restrict meat or milk to once a week only(even chips have butter, order mushrooms instead of paneer when you go out etc). Consistency is the key and if your pancreas are not destroyed you can starting reversing diabetis atlest manage symptoms better. If you are vegan much better but take b12. Good luck getting healthy!

Amusing that in India housewifes are getting diabetic even when they may eat less of processed food. Unfortunately, these doctors would blame genetics. They can't even define what foods to avoid.

Since you don't concur with the doctor's view do you have an explanation of your own? Tbh I agree with with good doctor's conclusion ; the other reason offered is lifestyle choices which is basically an improper diet and sedentary habits. As far the foods are concerned the ones to avoid are - high fat, sugar, salt, fried, carbohydrates, red meats. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits and fibres.

@@fauxpaxit8274 You should watch documentary "What the Health". It's based on US, but is equally true in Indian context. Atleast, then you would understand it's not ok to give general answers (as given by the participants)
