Thank you girls. If I may say high in my bucket list is a knit day with you. To sit and laugh and create with you would be a dream. Until then I live vicariously, in my living room with you on my screen. I promise I am not a crazy fan girl. I had a horrible rough night last night and you ladies make me laugh, but more than that you give me courage to try new things. You make me believe I can do it I have jumped in the yarn dying pool in part because of you, so thank you for your encouragement. My dad always told me to be kind and share what you have. You are the embodiment of his wisdom. Nice to know good people share the planet.

Great show Ladies! I still miss the longer shows but this one is great. I have to say the Oracle pi shawl is in my queue. It's a great design.

Wow, where have I been? This is my first time hearing about Pi Shawls. How gorgeous! Like everyone else, mine would be decoration in my house probably. I'm only 5 feet tall, so I couldn't carry off wearing one. I'll probably start with a half Pi first. So good to have you guys back! I'm anxiously awaiting Tracie's return from Scotland...

Yay!!! I'm glad season 4 is already here! I hope the rest of the episodes are a little longer than season 3. Really wish it went back to season 2 format but ill still watch...7 minute episodes are better than 3-4 minute episodes I guess

Beautiful pi shawls! I’m also tempted to try one and think it would lovely over the back of a couch to use a comfy throw blanket.

I love how Tracie at 4:00 says Elizabeth Zimmerman was the “pi-oneer “ of designing Pi Shawls- I know, I’m being silly- but my mind works in cartoons sometimes🤓

A pi shawl IS a circular shawl. A Spiral shawl IS a circular shawl. A pi shawl is not a spiral shawl, and there are several types of circular shawls...but a Pi shawl is absolutely most definitely a circular shawl. Circular just relates to the shape at the end, not how one gets there.

Could you talk a little about the yarns you use for those of us in the U.K. Compare and explain what "light" or "sport" weight is. Thank you so much!!

I see Pi shawls and want to turn them into table clothes
@susanwood11956 жыл бұрын
Karen Z That was my thought as well. perfect cover for my table.

When I saw that I thought it was a table doily. I feel it would be awkward to try to wear it as a shawl. I can see it as a blanket maybe. The half pi, though, is pretty perfect.
@Khamomil5 жыл бұрын
So do I, but wonder what yarn I would use. Some linen I guess. I think a fraction of a circle around the waist could make an awesome skirt too. Like 1/3 of a circle, but taking into account the waist measurement, the circle wouldn't start in the exact center, but wherever 1/3 of a circle equals the waist size.

I'm about to cast off my 1st EZ Pi Shawl in a day or two. It's dk weight. My next one will be lace weight. Knowing the math really opens up design possibilities.

I just wished y'all focused on a pi shawl by a different designer....like Elizabeth Zimmerman's July Pi Shawl, MMario's Pi-neapple Strudel shawl, and Jan Henley's Pi in the Sky I and II.

Heaven forbid that we knitters grow faint from lack of nourishment. This applies to quilters as well, which is why chocolate is considered both a quilting and in knitting tool. And of course, since we want to use really good tools, we need really good chocolate!

Never heard of pie day,don’t have it in England
@patmillett80566 жыл бұрын
Deborah Cherry it's not really about pies. Pi represents the relationship,as Tracey explained, between the circumference and diameter of every circle (circumference is approximately 3.14 x diameter) which nerdy mathematicians 😉 have dubbed March 14th - the 14th day of the 3rd month - 3.14.

@dazydook40996 жыл бұрын
If you don't like it as a pie shawl, toss it on top of a table and you have a table cloth.
